With all home games on the road this year, was there a deal struck with all schools when it comes to gate or is the athletic program taking a big hit this year.

What happened to the Canadian team, noticed OHSAA website now list Grove City Christian in that date instead of the Canadian team? Just wondering, big point hit going from a Div I to a Div VI.

Again? How does that happen to an established football program,like in 07 this could cost them the playoffs. makes no sense to me?

Yes I'm almost 100% positive Chesapeake will get the gate for their supposed home games. lol. But IMO there is no chance at all that Fairland wins the league and i don't think Rock Hill will be surprising many folks after watching them! In my previous posts I have Coal Grove and Chesapeake as the clear favorite but as of now River Valley may have just jumped Chesapeake after the Panthers lost a huge key to their offense and defense for the year.. Tough Break for the Peake if they beat RV it won't be a huge surprise or much of an upset so to speak but they will have to upset CG b/c they are the clear favorite even after losing Estep. The talent level in the OVC is down but honestly it could be a very fun and interesting year!

Not what I have heard in the Grove. I have asked about this when it comes to our game against Peake and it was told to me that it is being treated like a home game for the Grove when it comes to the gate money.

3 Rock Hill
4 Chesapeake....It will be hard to play EVERY game away

Thats the first i have heard of that 2trap but i would believe it since when has CG ever helped Chesapeake or vice versa? lol
Idk why everybody seems to think RH will be ahead of Cpeake did u see them play in previews? I know only previews but chesapeake ran 6playes the whole game and played a defense they put in just for previews not to show anything and they beat RH 14-0.. Somebody please explain this? It won't be that hard on the road considering all the OVC games besides River Valley are 25min or less away? Yea Valley, West and OAk Hill are kinda far out but Wayne and SV are again like 25min away! Its not like these away games are 2 or 3 hrs away. Remember these are 14-18yr old kids they don't get worn down to quick!

Chesapeake will get the gate money at Symmes Valley minus Electric for the lites. They will use thier gate workers and pay the Officials. Sorry to hear about the Meadows kid went to school with His Dad.

Let me clarify my understanding of the gate issue. It is my understanding that we are not sharing the gate with Peake because (and once again this is my understanding not the schools) it is not our fault that Peake has to play on the road. It would be different if they couldn't use their field due to a natural disaster or due to something like a gas line breakage, but due to the fact that a new stadium is being built, how is that a reason to give up gate money. Giving Peake the gate money is rewarding them for not preparing for this situation, I know this statement is going to cause an argument but look at the facts, Wheelersburg put in a new stadium and will be able to use it this year, if they couldn't do you think their opponents would give up gate, I know that Ironton wouldn't and I am sure the SOC schools would be the same way.

Have only seen Fairland in a jamboree game, but I thought they looked good. Depth is an issue they seemed to wear down some in the 2nd half. But if they stay healthy they will be a factor in the OVC, IMO.

That sounds like CG people! Arrogant! Just like whenever Chesapeake beats them it was a fluke or it was the refs fault! Honestly IMO good if I were the Peake AD or Super I wouldn''t ask CG to help me anyway!
