Re: Northwest Mohawks @ East Tartans-Week One
Jim "Snuffy" Smith or "Mr. Tartan" as some refer to him as; stated that he would be broadcasting at the game! I have a question! What sideline will he be on? In years past he has broadcasted from the home team's sidelines! Just wondering is all!

The Tartans are loaded with talent young Mohawks! Great opportunity for you to show southern Ohio you are ready to turn the corner with this program! Everyone of you must play every snap like it is your last! No excuses......only answers! The Tartans will be heavy favorites.......make them earn it! Let there be "doubt" right up to the very last tick of the fourth quarter clock! GO MOHAWKS!!

I'm getting really excited about this game. So excited that I went out and pawned some DVDs just to get an East Football onesi made for my son. Only got a few days to get through before show time.

I think being a Thursday night game, I may have to make my first trip to see both of these teams. Problem is, I hve no clue where East plays their home games. Anyone have some directions from the north? I will come in on 23. Thanks for any help!!

If your coming in from the north on 23, get on 52 East towards Wheelersburg. Once you get out of New Boston you will see the Sciotoville Exit, take that exit then the road will make a little split to the left and the right. Take it to the left and go to the red light, at the light take a left onto Harding Ave. and go straight the field will be on the right you can't miss it.

Not for sure, I say it could be a game time decision on if he plays or not.

Thanks for the directions Tartanblue!!!!! Looking forward to my first trip to a new stadium and I get to see 2 programs I have not seen before. By playing on a Thursday night and being the first official game of the year in this area, both programs will probably get a little extra exposure!! Good luck to both!!!

If you are wanting to see a new stadium then Sciotoville is def. not the place to be, its been there forever. Its nothing fancy either but there isnt any other place where you can get as close to the field as you can in Sciotoville, ask the refs, they cant stand being there when East is getting beat, they hear every obscenity ever used and then some. should be a decent game though. East 28-7

I think he ment a new stadium for him.
You will have fans like that at EVERY high school game.

Yes Tartan, I meant new for me........old stadiums are the best!! That's why I try to get out to new venues. I know these new stadiums are nice, but I love my history and to me there is nothing better than an old stadium.
