The Hendrix boy is an outstanding athlete and he will be missed, but lets get back to talking about the game

RV vs. SG would be a great game.

A match-up of the Veer vs. the RV passing attack? Old-school vs. New School? Two schools who are dedicated to the weight room? Opposite ends of the same county? One team with a head coach having a name like a Civil War general? Brother against Brother?

What's not to like about it?

They could do a three-game series, one game each at RV and SG and a neutral-site game on the soccer field at Bob Evans University.

From some of the SG posts it seems to me they are clammoring for a match up with RV. Even appears they are saying RV may be afraid to schedule them. Hence, if RV beats Eastern, who drubbed SG, then they should be assured they are a better team. That is not comparing scores, just common opponents.

rv/sg not playing has nothing to do with rv being afraid. show me one place on this site where anyone from sg ever said anything like that. anyone in the county that knows anything will tell you the reason they don't play comes from the top of the administration.
again i will tell you... YOU CANT COMPARE SCORES OR COMMON OPPONENTS. anyone who thinks you can knows very little about sports. if you want to compare go right ahead... tells me you know very little.
actually sounds like you are trying to stir the pot just a little.

would make for good rivalry game. good gate receipts. doubt the soccer players or coaches would care much for a football game being played on their field though.

You're out of your mind!! There has never been a post on this website from an SG poster saying that RV is afraid. And like Assassin said, if you think comparing scores reveals anything, you know NOTHING about athletics. I believe anyone who knows anything about the county school board knows why SG and RV don't play each other.

RV should be able to beat SG, seeing as RV has more kids to choose from and SG is struggling this year.

It would have been a different story a few years ago though.

It has been said that Charla Evans is vehemently opposed to the match-up, but that's probably just a rumor.

MRSA:

from Wikipedia:

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacterium responsible for difficult-to-treat infections in humans. It may also be referred to as multiple-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or oxacillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (ORSA). MRSA is by definition a strain of Staphylococcus aureus that is resistant to a large group of antibiotics called the beta-lactams, which include the penicillins and the cephalosporins.

I should have been a librarian.

Well rev, it's a little misleading when your avatar is the picture of the "Cyanide Chef" Jim Jones. Maybe you should think about changing the pic so people won't miss the point anymore. ;-)

Yes you are right, comparing common opponents is rediculous. Well, when your team is on the losing end of that comparison it is Actually, I see your point. Matter of fact, I don't think any win or loss should count for or against a team. Don't even keep track of records I say. I think in all of sports losing in the playoffs should not count you out either. Using that argument allows me to see that just because team A beats team B then loses to team C, doesn't mean team C could beat team B. They should have to prove they can beat team B, and not just assume they are better based on the common opponent logic.

As for SG thinking RV is afraid, I have no clue. I was basing my assumption on the fact that they are discounting every reason given for them not playing each other. I guessed that those were the reasons RV were giving for not playing.

I chose the pic of the Reverend Jim Jones because he is the prime example of getting people to follow blindly and they bought it all hook, line and sinker. So much, that they killed themselves because he said to. And you guys are his followers.

It is a dig at everyone who follows blindly.
