I know Coach W personally and I know for a fact he will NEVER overlook and opponent..That is just not his style....He is a classy guy who I am sure the Burg will be happy with for many years to come....Gallia fans really wish we could have kept him but now the burgs fan base has just grown but a large amount....Good luck to both teams..

I think wheelersburg will have a little trouble containing Evans in this game..he has practiced extra hard this week and is a very aggressive runner...I see the score being 28-12burg

Extra hard??? Well there's your problem!...shouldn't he always give 110% during practice?

I think the Pirates are just too much for the Indians again this season. DL speed should cause havoc in the backfield and for Valleys QB and running game. I would be suprised if Valley breaks the 100 yard mark rushing. Not sure how Valleys D is but I look for Burg to move the football on the ground and pass when they want/need.

I do however look for Valley to score in this one.

My prediction
Burg moves to 6-0 on the season
Pirates 34
Indians 7

I agree in wholeheartedly that most likely, wheelersburg is gonna win this game against Valley, if none other than the simple fact that they have the better team this year (as they usually do every year in the SOC II);

HOWEVER ----

I ALSO MOST CERTAINLY AGREE THAT the Purple Indians should watch out for the MIGHTY Mimford Falcons come week 10!!!! I mean, come on - When you have such DAZZLING PRO Talent Such as Oesch, Williams, Price, Hockett, Wilson, and the boys, the score won't even be close in week 10, let alone weeks 9,8,7......, besides, with a ROMAN-ESQUE GOD of a Coach in Daniels why should they (the FALCOONS) even play such a LOWLY team as Valley? Why should they play Waverly this weak??? SHOOT!, Why should they even play such pushovers such as WEST???? I mean COME-ON , Mintord WAY outclasses the SOC II EVERY YEAR in Football... IN FACT, why are they even in the SOC II? Shouldn't they be in like a leauge with St. Ignatius, Moeller, Xavier, or something? I don't know about the rest of you all on here, but I say we just let Minford have the SOC II on talk alone and then let them have the #1 seed in our region so they can dominate and win the DV State Crown (Because we ALL KNOW how "DOMINATE" the Falcons are in the Post-Season).....

Don't Really Know or Care about the Valley-Burg Score... So here's a score for you....

Waverly - 28
MIMFORD - 21

Have Fun in Weeks 11,12,13,14,15 Falcons!!!!!!!

MAY THE WINGS OF VICTORY NEVER LOOSE A FEATHER!!!!!!!!!!!
(Unless they're molting, in which case the're gonna loose all kinds of feathers - which is why it sucks having a bird for your mascot....)

Ok, Ok, Ok..... since there are those who are gonna agree with BullDawg.. and to show my "caring" for the Valley/Burg game; here is my FEEBLE attempt at a prediction:

WBurg - 35
Valley 14

Valley gets one legit score, and one 'late' score..... :12223

moulting is british, molting is american, moalting is not a word. Personally, I tend to use the former spelling--maybe coming from learning it in a medical setting or from emailing British veterinarians so frequently. They spell things weird there. ;-)

Nice use of the idea though--shows good vocabulary. :-D

definition:
To shed periodically part or all of a coat or an outer covering, such as feathers, cuticle, or skin, which is then replaced by a new growth.

BTW--good luck to ALL teams, may the games be free of any serious injuries.

Minford fans crack me up....Valley has dominated you for years...why they have been down lately, Valley will return to great years. Trust me....never underestimate a Darren Crabtree football team

Burg 7
Valley 3

at the half

Valley finally gets that monkey off their backs and scores on the Pirates and they are actually outpalying the Burg. The Pirates had better come out in the 2nd half and play a little better or the Indians are just likely to hang an "L" on the Burg.
