Was that running up the score or whatever you think Waverly did to Minford last year?

You'd best hope the tide isnt turned from last year this Friday night in the 4th ;-)

I am sure Minford coaches and players havent forgotten about it

I believe that Minford will come away with another W to advance to 6-0...but this will be a very hard-hitting and hard played game!.....Go git'em RED!!!

This comes from a Minford fan

Waverly did not run up the score last year. 33-2 is not " running " up the score.

You're right, 33-2. I still have no clue what game marshallman was talking about.

You can't be serious? 35-3 or 33-2, I'm off two points from a game that happend last year and you can't figure it out that it might be the same game? The fact is not the exact score it's how it played out the last two minutes. Yes! take Walls out put your starting WR and put him at QB if hes 2nd string QB and run it up the middle.

2nd string QB is a sophmore and starts varsity in another position. I didn't see the problem there. He's young. Gotta get reps. Nothing wrong with that now is there?

He didn't get reps at QB, I was watching Walls at QB.

I was referring to the comment about the Oak Hill/Minford game. When butcher came in to take a few snaps in the 4th quarter. :122249

If all he is doing is handing the ball off to a second team running back up the middle, why does it matter who the QB is? If you let the back-up QB (who is also a D1-A prospect) drop back and get REAL reps, then you are running up the score. If your second string running back scores on a dive play, you are running up the score. You can't win.

Let me ask you this... How many snaps had the back-up taken that week? Did he have a bruised forearm from earlier in the game? Just make sure you know the facts before you start throwing acusations around.

I know the Waverly staff and there is no way they were trying to run up the score (33-2 is hardly running it up by the way).

I agree waverly did not run the score up at all......minford had the same scenario against west last year they were accused of running it up remember...they did not in that game either

Pretty sure Roback was dinged up a little bit late in the minford game and no one else was taking snaps at that time.

I cant wait til Friday, this is going to be a dandy...Roback is a very good athlete and is obviously a better all around athlete than Trevor Walls but I'm not taking anything away from Walls, he was a good one. I think that Waverly will see a little different Minford team this year as these guys are a little meaner, physical and faster than last year, fasten your seatbelts everyone, as the 2 most explosive offenses in the SOC are going to have at with it all on the line this Fri. @ the Pasture of Pain.

As T.O. would say "Get your popcorn ready"

Spamony,
He's played 5 games at QB. Walls started 3 years. I'd say he's doing quote well for the amount of time he's had at that position. Keep in mind he plays nearly every down on defense, punts and kicks PAT's.

I wasn't referring to the score when I said I wasn't sure what game you were watching. I was referring to you saying that Walls was throwing the ball with under 2 minutes to go. I'm pretty sure he wasn't.

No need to get into who is or is not better, but suffice it to say Roback is the real deal. He and Malone pose a duel threat that will challenge Minford more than any team has to this point. Not to mention Robertson and Kretzer. Of course, Minford has their fair share of weapons as well and it will be tough to key on any particular player (just ask Oak Hill). The Minford defense will need to step it up again this week and the offense needs to continue to improve. The key on offense will be the line and they need to fire out and stay LOW. You cannot stand up and expect to move people. If Minford continues to improve and continues to execute in the areas where they have been strong, Minford should be successful. Once again, it is up to the players and how bad they want it. Have a good week at practice and come out the first play and smack them right in the mouth. Start strong and finish strong. Go Falcons!
