I watched the alex, athens game on 15 and i could not see wear alexander has improved unless it was just a bad game for them... they look like that every year  it must of been wishful talking i was hearing allthough they did win a couple this year and maybe they will take 3rd place in tvc this year and not last place :-D ... but this week probably will be their biggest loss... goodluck and i hope for an injury free game on both sides........... does anybody have an update on Austin Mcdonald he looked like his knee kept him out of the game last friday hope he is fine for this week

Nelsonville-York's "O" line has played well all year................

It is something that never really gets talked about, but behind (or more correctly, in front of :122249 ) every good running back, is a line that is doing their job.

Linemen don't get the credit they deserve, but they have to learn to take their credit in "hidden" areas.

When a back rolls through an open hole for a 75 yd TD......... That is because of the block they threw. Nobody may notice except for the Coaches during films, but THE LINEMEN are the ones that made it happen.

It isn't fair, but anybody who knows anything about football, knows that is the way it is........................

GREAT JOB LINEMEN!
(that's about all the glory you guys will get) ;-) :122245 :122245

I think that Alex has improved, the game against Athens the 1st half was a good ballgame. It just seems that when they get behind 2 scores they pack it in.Lawson is a hard nose runner who will have 2 years left. This team is young and for a young team they can move the ball when they want too.If NY looks past this game, for the Athens game, then Alex will play with the Buckeyes for awhile, just awhile though.I just would like to see Alex play all 4 QTRS instead of packing it in when they are behind.
If NY makes the playoff's hope to see Mr.Talbert back.He is a great runner and with the 1-2 punch with Arnold they will do good things and I will be there to watch NY play. By the way if Alex scores 1st I am getting a picture of the scoreboard.:122245

I think if spartans play like they did last week NY will win so if the spartans want to win they better step it up on this weeks practice

A way you could have stated your remark without sounding like an A$$ like you did, would be. I would like to wish both teams a great game and may the better team win. They cleaned up our trash from Alex, let us not have to deal with nasty from NY. This is a game for the kids!!!! Seems there are too many past NY/Alex players wanting to still talk smack after the fact that you are no longer a player. Just support the kids who are playing and wish both team good luck.

Good luck young men, play your hardest and stay safe!!! Your communities will be supporting you on Friday night...

Just wanting to wish Alex luck from Lancerland!

I wish both teams to be injury free and hope they can have some fun
just playing a clean game of FOOTBALL!

As far as who will win....WHO KNOWS?
We would have never guessed Alex beating us so anything can happen but I believe
the BUCKEYES will take this one!

GOOD LUCK to both teams!

Just an FYI for everyone. Let me preface this post by saying that I do not have a dog in this fight. Over the weekend I was informed by someone in the know that the person you all thought was a trash talking Alex fan was actually someone posting from another school district that has no ties to either Alex or NY. It was someone stirring the pot and creating controversy. I hope the mods will address this situation so this does not happen again. I can assure everyone that this is the truth and I hope the fans from each of these two schools will not hold anything that was said by this poster against each other. Good Luck to both teams this week!

JJH, Talking to a lot of people from NY and Alex most of them thought that this may be the case. Thanks for the info.

As for the game, Alex is playing to end the streak and NY is playing for a league championship and a playoff berth. I know the game was very physical at Belpre and looks to be this way with NY and Alex this week. Good luck to the Buckeyes,I know there is nothing to say that would get you any more fired up for the game than you will be. You been waiting on this since last November, Its here!!

You know something------------I bet that FH thought the same thing about the Spartans when they went down there and won 27-0. Yep, FH had a bad night and there comes a time when NY will have a bad one. Maybe the Spartans will have some luck on their side on Friday night that it will be NY BAD night. Yep, we can all dream...sure wish my dreams came true....Good luck to both teams!!!! Regardless of the results, I hope a safe game to each team. Go Spartans!!!

Hey, I agree with admar...Here is evidence that you can't take the spartans too lightly...I know, we will probably go home with a loss but I will still be there cheering on the spartans. After over 20 years of being a spartan fan, I am not giving up on them now...Good luck fellas, play hard and be safe.
