Athens will need to control Belpre's passing attack which can be decent at times, especially when they go twins to both sides. Sweeney needs to get the 'D' playing with intensity and passion putting pressure on the QB, and the secondary must play sound football and communicate. Reading route progression and keys will be vital.

The offensive line must sustain blocks and looked to go second level to spring Tope. Receivers need to look for YAC.

Special Teams could play a big role in this game. Belpre has some skilled players that can hurt you in this 1/3 of the game. I look for McCollum to make some special plays tonight returning the football . . . the boy needs more touches.

Athens has elevated there level of play over the course of the season . . . it's time to finish strong as a springboard into next season!

Solid performance by the Bulldogs all the way around. Belpre punches one in in the last few seconds on the jv for the final. Nice crowd traveled to Belpre to support Athens. :122245

Horseman....there's nothing confusing about the two divisions of the TVC, and I don't think people from other areas think it's confusing either. Why not add a third division? The Mid-State League has three divisions (Buckeye, Cardinal, Ohio) and it isn't confusing at all. They each are basically their own league and crossover games don't count as league games. Matter of fact, not many MSL schools play other MSL schools in different divisions. Also, the SEOAL (which is in the TVC's back yard) has two divisions, North and South.

Best of luck to the Bulldogs in week 10.

Hopefully, Belpre can bounce back against Meigs who may be looking at a playoff spot.
