I think if Ironton wants to bring in more money, one thing to do would be to play home games on saturdays. That alone would bring in more people.

I agree with you You're Tiger Bait". Good competetion for our kids but I know the time travel is a big down fall of it.

Since they couldn't WIN IT like old times or stay long enough in the SEOAL this time to find out what they could actually do, maybe a winning schedule like this might work for them?

Two, I don't think all those Kentucky Teams will want to replay you all as you might think too? Maybe once it's done and said, you might think the SEOAL wasn't that bad after all.

Maybe this a schedule you all could play and go 10-0 for a two year series in a 4 year period, but I doubt that too!

2010 and 2011 Football Season Schedules

1. Wheelersburg-SOC II D5
2. Point Pleasent, WV AA
3. Coal Grove-OVC D5
4. Ashland, KY AAA
5. Russell, KY AA
6. Hillsboro-SCOL D3
7. Vinton County-TVC (Ohio Division) D3
8. River Valley-OVC D4
9. Zanesville-(Independent) D2
10. Portsmouth-SEOAL D4

2012 and 2013 Football Season Schedules

1. Wheelersburg-SOC II D5
2. Huntington, WV AAA
3. Piketon-SVC D4
4. Ashland, KY AAA
5. Russell, KY AA
6. South Point-OVC D4
7. Greenfield McClain-SCOL D3
8. Portsmouth West-SOC II D5.....See if Mel could get revenge :?:
9. Washington C.H.-SCOL D3
10. Portsmouth-SEOAL D4

I agree with you it will be tough finding games.

We all forget that there are so many other sports that the AD will need to find games for in the future. I still say there should have been a plan submitted to the BOE before Ironton got out of the SEOAL. We continue to focus all of our sports energy on football and forget about the other sports programs both girls and boys.

I agree. But not as bad as the Football Schedule will be. Basketball shouldn't be that bad to schedule for both the boys and girls. Likewise, Volleyball either. You all have the Kentucky and West Virginia Teams, the OVC, SOC I and SOC II in your own back yard. To add to that are the three SEOAL Schools that are fairly close to Ironton, being, Portsmouth, Gallipolis and Jackson. As for Baseball, Softball and Track the same goes above. That is, if all those local leagues and conferences in your back yard have an open date for other sports and are willing to play Ironton.

Football might not be as easy as you all think. There will most likely be some serious travel concerning week 5 through week 10.
