A lot of things can happen in a highschool football game. I bet NY will never take a game lightly. No matter who it is or what the record. Meigs is a fundementally sound team and NY's players I bet are being told this daily. The fans may be a little arrogant at times but I bet Boston keeps them on task or else. Dont think you will catch them looking past anything. Good luck to both teams.

We took a game lightly back in 08. Coming off of two big wins against Trimble and Piketon, going into the Berne Union game. We thought we were invincible at the time and coach didnt think much of the bu game. We got up there halfa$$ed everything then went into the locker room losing 28-0 at half. We came back out and played the 2nd half but lost 28-14. Practice next week was probably the worst id ever been to. Berne Union ended up 4-6 that year while we finished 8-2 with our loss to probably one of the worst teams we played that year, and a loss to Ironton by only 15 points a game that we were winning at half time. So i think players and coach Boston have learned their lesson anout taking a team lightly or looking ahead.

N-Y will go 10-0 (yes, they'll beat Athens by 2 td's, have seen them both play more than once this year), will win their first round playoff game and then travel somewhere mid-state to play Ridgewood or "Bucky Rus" (Bucyrus Wynford) in a second round game and the season will end there. You heard it here first, End of story.

They won on grass, but mot the kind of grass Meigs and Alexander seems to have. You need boots to get through those weeds. Trimble at lest has the weeds cut week 1 so it is not bad.

Could you repeat that? I think everyone needs to read that again to make sure all of us have it right.

I have seen the male Ridgewood athletes in the Regionals of another sport and the SEO school they faced off against made easy work of them each time. All of their athletes of a higher caliber must sit around until the Fall and the chumps make it to Regionals.

Coach Boston and Coach dean will never let the Bucks look past any week they both know the ends and outs of football....The bucks are to well oiled and diseapline this year this group of young men deserve alot of respect...And with that being said i think NY needs more respect than they get there are to many haters bashing these young men. Because of the talent and the way they click with eachother they are a unselfish group of youg men. And thats something u dont see on many teams. ;-) ;-)

What's different about this game? This program has been in a vacuum for nearly two decades with his record backing that up. It's no secret that any past successes down the good 'ole way can be attributed solely to Meigs' dedicated athletes and certainly not to limited schemes and dated technique. Wake up already.

I have said this on other threads about this team but here it goes again, Meigs play far better at home on the river than they do on the road. N-Y has way too much for Meigs to win but look for them to hang around longer than some expect before N-Y pulls away to an easy win.
