Portsmouth vs South Point WK 1

Somewhat, but it was a new stadium that nobody from Portsmouth had been to, a non-rivalry game and we are coming off a 1-9 year. I look for a ton of people next Saturday when we open our new place. By the way, nice place down there, the school was pretty cool looking and the field and stadium were in great shape.

i didnt realize it was the same kid that dropped the passes Big Time my fault on that ... and yeah there was a TD pass called back, but it was clearly a clip ... and you are dead on Portsmouth was more physical and did get stronger as the game progressed ... Good Luck to you all this year. Was it me or was the crowd down for you all for a season opener?

I wasn't trying to be smart either Championship. I do wish the Pointers luck the rest of the season. If we plan on having the kind of year everyone wants then we can't fumble twice, drop passes, miss assignments. For us to beat some of the teams on our schedule we have to play error free. Again Championship I wish your team the best of luck. They just need to keep their heads up, we know how it feels from last years 1-9 season.

Congratulations to our Trojans on the win.......and I commend the Pointers for a good effort.

Portsmouth's offense had a good second half, as the offensive line started to open up some holes.......and Josh Myers had a fine game running the football as did Isaiah Reeves. I thought the defense played a good game.

There are things to improve on.......but it's good to be 1-0.

The Trojans are improved. I'm not sure how far they've come though, and they still have a ways to go to be called a good team. South point controlled the ball and the clock at times and that is a worry expecially with West coming up. I do think that after the Touchdown Pass was called back we displayed some character which was lacking last year. We overcame the bad break and went down and scored for the lead. This was getting late in the game. Last years team wouldn't have overcome that. A couple of calls that I saw that seemed in dispute by some fans. After looking at the film, there was clearly a clip on the called back touchdown. Anohter play that was in dispute was Josh Myers 2-point run to give the Trojans a 16-14 lead. The films shows he was definately in. Pretty entertaining game to watch in the second half. We Trojans still have a long way to go though.

great game to wacth, I knew this game would not be easy, as none of them on our schedule will be, but the kids did what it took,and never gve up, I thought our defense looked real good after the first few possesions,,,,,esp..in the second half .
