DeSales will give them a game. Mooney just beat them 21-14 earlier in the year (strength of schedule is a terrible thing to waste).

I am rooting for Glenville in D1......it seemed like for so long they couldn't get out their region, and now they are playing for the state title.......they are fun to watch, with all the athletes that they have.......I would have to think Coach Tressel will have some interest in the game, considering how many Glenville players have worn the Scarlet and Gray, and the personal friendship between Tressel and Coach Ted Ginn Sr.

I am not good on picking games, but I'm going with Glenville in D1, Winton Woods in D2, Mooney in D3, Kettering Alter in D4, Ursuline in D5, and St.John's in D6. The best game could be Mooney vs. DeSales, or Coldwater vs. Ursuline. Hilliard Davidson will be trying to win their second state title this decade and third for the Central District, but the Tarblooders will be a tough foe for the Wildcats.

Hopefully the weather will be moderate and that the fans will really turn out and support their teams.......for some schools this is a once in a lifetime event, although many of the schools that will be playing are very familiar to Ohio high school football fans.

I have been to the state championships before, and it is a fun experience even if your school is not there........but I will never forget how cold it was for the St.Ignatius vs. St. Xavier game in 1992 at Fawcett Stadium.......the coldest football game I have ever been to.......we left at halftime.......Ignatius won the game........I also won't forget the time that a Massillon parking attendant was griping about how many Catholic schools were playing for the state titles.

5 teams from the Midwest Athletic Conference made the playoffs. 3 have lost...in overtime...to other MAC schools. Here's pulling for Coldwater and Delphos St. John's to bring home the hardware in Div. V and VI.

I believe Kettering Archbishop Alter is a private school as you must apply for enrollment and pay tuition ( between $5510.00 and $7395.00 depending on family income and membership in the parish). But still 3 outta 4 ain't bad.

I love having the playoff-weekend games televised!! Yes, it would be better if there were a local team involved, but it is still a great 2 days of high school football!
I love it, and I am glued to the TV nearly every minute of those two days! I am already planning a menu of food I can have prepared in advance so I can just go grab something to eat quickly in between watching games [or at half-time].
