Good game West!

I could not believe that there was not many fans at all for either team at the game.

Officiating, horriable. Just flat out ridiculass, in the second half. But that being said, a very good game to watch. Peake has a very nice team. Should have plenty sucsess the rest of the year. West will just flat out hit you!!!!

Game couldn't have started any worse for West. Fumbled the opening center-QB exchange. Then Held. Punted. Chesapeake QB took it about 75 yards around the end. Really good athlete. Probably should have had a holding call on the TD.

Other than that, West's defense was solid against a really good team. The QB can really throw the ball and they have some athletes on the outside. Offensive line really protected him well, but they had trouble getting anything on the ground besides the 1 run.

Chesapeake was solid on defense and made West work.

Really impressed with the panthers. They should go 8-2 but will be borderline for the playoffs. It would be a shame if that did happen, they are playoff caliber and I'll say it, possibly the best team in Lawrence County.

I quoted you because of the spelling. Just giving you a rough time.

Let's hope both teams get through next week injury free and then we will be ready to roll week 7.

Crabs brother, sorry should read my text before submitting. Horrible, ridculous. lol. I am from West, give me a break. Peake had a really nice team. They had talent all over. This game should help West down the road. West played a very solid game on the road. Should help them get ready for the SOC ll. All you can say about West is they are very physical. They will just flat out hit you. And West could have finished the Panthers off, earlier. But the numerous calls against them, keep the Panthers in it until late in the 4th.

Highlight of the game. West kicks off and was offsides. So naturally Peake accepts the penalty..rekick. West kicks the ball out of bounds and instead of taking the ball with great field position Peake elects to make them rekick again? After 2 penalties and being backed way up, Auger blasts the kick out of the endzone and Peake starts on their own 20...........

That was awesome we got a big laugh out of that one, as for the game very good matchup at the line of scrimmage peake has a very good line on both sides of the ball and some good athletes at the skilled position was impressed with their qb very good athlete throws the ball good, matched up good with each other the biggest difference in this game was our kicking game was superior to theirs they should win out and win the ovc good ball team.

Portsmouth West 21, Chesapeake 7

CHESAPEAKE — it was another tough battle for the Chesapeake Panthers and another tough loss.

The Panthers (3-2) took a 7-0 lead thanks to a 70-yard run by quarterback Austin McMaster to set up the first touchdown.

But West took a 14-7 halftime lead on a 1-yard scoring run by Kyle Auger and 4-yard run by Justin Crace.

Levi Ratliff threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Adam Bricker in the third quarter to complete the scoring.

West (5-0) was led by Auger with 87 yards on 18 carries and Bricker who had 69 yards on 16 tries. Zack Fry had two interceptions.

The Senators had 302 total yards while the Panthers finished with 208.

What was the call at the end of the second qtr when West punted the ball and the West kid touched it but it went into the end zone. The Ref then spots the ball at the 2 yard line I feel that was the play that turned the game.
