Must win for the Trojans. They are somehow still a possible playoff team if they get these kids healthy. The run defense scares me though as I'm not sure they can stop Gallia or Ironton. Just make it happen Portsmouth. No defense?? You just need to out score the other team. When the offense is healthy, they are top notch. Just make it happen. No excuses.

Rumor’s out of Marietta is that Springer’s freshman team will take over this Friday night. Kimbrough and many others get first varsity career start. Look for Bob Springer to be influencing many of the decisions this Friday night. Farnsworth can wear the head-dress but Springer is the chief. :aaaaa59

I feel bad for those boys...this would be the first week of even practicing with Varsity players, let alone starting against another teams best 11. Seems like a very big desperation move by the new coach....pulling the freshmen schedule to start a JV team and throw a bunch of freshmen in the fire. I guess we'll see what happens.

Not sure if I agree with it ... If it's just a numbers thing, ok ...

Probably letting them dress for homecoming. You're right - just a numbers thing.

Don’t feel bad… Spring has been planning this since the week prior to the PHS game a year ago. Read the paper! It’s all about Springer and his freshman team. Springer has a proven track record of building successful teams. This is not a desperation move by the new coach… It’s a well thought out move by Chief Springer.

Does anyone know if the game is going to be on the radio, or online?
