A league title or playoff appearance is certainly a possibility. However, it is going to be a much different team than last year. I thought that our skill position players carried us last year. I think this year it is going to be much more dependent on the boys in the trenches in a more grind it out approach.

That's a good prediction, 83.... Here is what our skill position accounted for last year. I just used the numbers of our starting players and came up with this... The skill player accounted for 50% of our rushing yardage, 52% of the receiving yardage, 62% of our TD's scored and 52% of our points scored... Quite impressive....Plus we had a 3 year starter at QB who threw for 1050 yards... The offense won't be as explosive as last years. We have some talent coming back and they are working very hard to improve themselves....

Not worried about last year that's history we all know why the numbers were the way they were the focus is this year and I can tell these guys are ready the JV team from a year ago are stepping up we may not hit a homerun every play but we will be in every game. This may be one of the most talented teams we have had since the 05-06-07 era time will tell .The boys get separated from the men starting Monday

I'm looking forward to the next couple weeks of practice to see how the battles for those starting spots work out. I think there are a few battles where you've got 3 or 4 guys battling for the same spot. Competition like that should be good for the team. One of the things I've been a bit concerned about is the leadership. The seniors last year seemed to be some of the best leaders I've seen at the High School level. One of our big keys is how this year's seniors step in and fill that role.

This team has plenty of talent. I think the stars will be in the trenches a bit more, so it won't be as evident as it was last year.

GO BACK AND READ I NEVER SAID PLAYOFFS!!! you get through the season then worry about the playoffs no one remembers if you went to the playoffs only if you won the league title or not lets get through the season then worry about post season The Ohio play offs are so screwed up its not meant for a regular school in southern rual Ohio to win anyways they are set up for the big schools up north and the private schools which in my opion should have there own playoffs

Well... You did say they are as talented as 3 playoff teams? Are you saying the coaching staff will under achieve? Where is the Donnie Johnson?
You know that every team we have had who made the playoffs had that special talent!
I see this team as solid talent wise with no break away talent? I just don't want people setting expectations too high, not fair to the kids!
I expect to be .500 anything more is awesome.

Everyone keeps talking about the offensive side of the ball but they lost a considerable amount on the defensive side. They lost, i think, 4 of the top 5 tacklers, interception leader and a very good place kicker. Just something to think about and Good luck Big Blue!!!

There you go again with the play off talk -----it is what it is this team is talented enough to do very well and be well above .500 as for breakaway talent we will see gotta give these juniors more credit than you have so far

Are like someones mom in the junior class. Haha sounds like it
The junior class has a little speed. But they are very small maybe 1 kid has size?
Hard to replace the entire backfield. Who is gonna be the qb?

I am hearing NO! He is out for the year for reasons other than transfer?
