Best of luck to the Buckeyes this week. Hope you have a strong showing and come away victorious, and injury free.

Ny let this game slide through thier hands last year.
Ny will be ready for this one.If Ny gets the lead it
could be a long night for the green wave..

I was there last year, and watched that game slip away. Made me sad (and O&B, too, as he was standing there with me watching it happen). I don't think that will happen this year, I have a feeling that your boys learned a tough lesson with that loss.

I'll give advice from a shirt I used to wear growing up! No Fear!
Also, NC is just a name, don't feel pressure just because it's NC... but I have to believe that Buckeyes have a fantastic tradition as well from all homegrown boys! No disrespect to NC or private schools, but I'll have Buckeye pride for life... from Little Bucks to Friday Nights! Go Bucks!

U Might ask someone who goes to Newark Catholic how many home grown boys are on the team I am betting the answer will shock you. I have no ties to the schools but there is at least one person on here that does have ties to the school.

If this game is a good one Newark Catholic will have to have a 100% improvement from last week and NY will have to play 50% worse than they did last week. I.M.O.

Before this thing gets any closer to game day, I'd like to wish Austin, Marc, Nate, Dustin, and the rest of the Buckeyes good luck this week. Hopefully you guys won't need it!

By the way, there is great "chow" there from the concession stands, outdoor tents, etc., it's good eating venue. It's in the middle of town with a highway overpass at north end zone and main street at the south. You park right behind the visitor stands (for a fee) and enjoy. It's an old school stadium feel.

According to the preview my sister sent to me from the local paper there is only one freshman dressing varsity and he is a stud qb RYAN FITZGERALD 5-10-170.

I take it you're another N-Y homer as most of your posts per your profile on other threads such as "Tremble vs. Yomamma" deameanor other teams in your area. Hey, and they wonder why people root against N-Y in the conference and especially in the playoffs. Trimble and Wahama will be just fine and i'm sure Newark Catholic alumni won't get too upset when N-Y beats them. As far as the Cruiser statement, let me say one thing, if N-Y was in ANY of the OCC, MSL or any other conference divisions of the same size around C-bus they would not have even a sniff of the success they've had in the TVC . They'd be beat up and done by mid season and I'll leave it at that. The Cruisers will probably play 5 teams this year that will be in the playoffs. When could N-Y ever say that, no matter what the size of the schools ?

Newark Catholic might be playing a lot of underclassmen but I would be surprised if this were a blowout. Teams that have tradition find a way to bring it when they need it, and pride will keep this a ballgame.

WRONG again BUBBA.
Moved into the TVC hocking a few years back from central ohio
. Love it here and wouldn't go back into that rat hole for anything.....
I just took notice that year after year you get on this site and constantly belittle the schools in s.e.o..
Kinda gets old.

What have them cruisers sniffed lately?????? Sure hasn't been success.........

Pride did not keep them in the game with prep, who dressed 23 players.
Prep might end with six wins this season so I.M O. they are not that good of a team.

The Cruisers will be fine and SEO schools are fine institutions. I'm going to catch Gallipolis tomorrow, N-Y saturday and will hope for wins in both contests. During the year I'll catch a Meigs and Wahama game for sure. I try to be realistic in my approach to athletic contests no matter what the sport or the teams and to some this may be construed as demeaning but I just call it like I see it IMO leading up to the game. After all, these are just games. May the best team win.
