Chiefs were 2-7 pre-1970 when the bulk of the population was still in the urban center.

Since the population movement to the suburbs and the Cbus City School District busing policy, Logan has fared better with a 5-3 record.

But to be fair, the programs they beat (Centennial, Columbus Central, Walnut Ridge) aren't strong and the programs they lost to (Beechcroft, Brookhaven) are very strong. Northland usually competes with Brookhaven and Beechcroft, but rarely finishes ahead of either.

Will be a tough match-up for the purple and white, but winnable if they execute.

Every school in the ohio capital conference charges $6 for football games. Im use to paying that. They raised the prices about 5 years ago.

I feel That $6.00 for an high school football game is fine One item Logan must think about is to look at the parking issues and adjust or increase what they charge. To avoid pay to play! By the way we will not make any $$$$$ from playing NORTHLAND. The city folks just do not travel!

We ought to feel fortunate we don't pay the parking fee :-D Last year at Reynoldsburg I got stuck with a ridiculous parking fee along with the ticket fee,I would hate to see how small the crowd will be Friday night, not much money for the coffers, but it is what it is got to play somebody and that's what happens when your league keeps shrinking.

Right now it is easier to add to the gate than collect for parking.

Once you start charging for parking don't you have to do it for everything????????????????

Might be an idea to prevent pay to play!

Logan drops it's third Overtime contest in the last 2 years - losing in OT to Northland at Chieftain Stadium 32-26 ... The OT scenario was set into motion as Purple signal caller Jack Music hit Moore in the end zone to give LHS a 26-18 lead ... a big LHS special teams miss on the extra point kept the door open for a Northland TD and 2 pt conversion to send the contest to extra "innings" - scripts are meant to be written and carried out under a "Blue Moon" as NHS scored and QB Smith punched in the game tying 2 point conversion ... 26-26 at the end of regulation ... Northland took their opening possession on first down 15 yds to the Logan 5 and followed up with a score - NHS missed their own 2 point conversion pass to leave that same door cracked for the Chiefs ... 32-26 Northland ... no Victory Bell ringing on Rt. 328 tonight Jack Music's last pass was intercepted to closeout the OT 32-26 Northland ... The Purple dropped to 0-2 while Northland evened it's record at 1-1 ...

... Special teams along with way too much yellow laundry seamed to do in the Purple ... missed PATs, allowing a second half Kick Off return to go to the house did the damage under the Blue Moon for the Purple ... Chiefs head to Newark next week to take the D1 Wildcats ...

Logan should beat Newark next week even though they are D1. Logan has not looked that bad in either loss. Yes some mistakes, but they are in a better situation than last year.

Logan looked bad last week ,but tonight they did show some life,I thought they were actually the better team as the line was pretty dominant up the middle and the backs ran hard, once again containment was a huge problem in the first half on defense but they were better in the second half,I loved how 77 from Northland couldn't keep his pants up and was lumbering and laboring all over the field and even looked hurt late in the game but came right back in the next play with not even a limp,.Another tough OT loss but at least they were competitive tonight.
