Re: Minford 38 @ Wellston 19
Good to close out the Wellson series with a win. This was the last game of that contract. Minford did some good things tonight. Some mental errors that need work (fumbles, penalties, etc.), but those will happen from time to time. All in all my Falcons won a game, and will be able to learn a lot from it. Can't ask for much more early in the season. Wellston just doesn't have the depth right now to play 4 quarters IMO.
On a side note, good to see the Minford christen those new road uniforms with a win. Those are very good looking.

Re: (1-0) Minford @ (0-1) Wellston
Great job by my Falcons. They played a great game, looked real good.
Wellston played a hard game, they never gave up. They have some real good backs, and their line made some good holes for their backs. But like I said, I was impressed with how hard they fought!! My hats off to the Wellston team.
As for my Falcons, the O-fense looked unstoppable at times. All the backs really looked good. And #11 has proved that he is the leader of the team. The way he run tonight was great. He run over, around, and though people tonight. #28, #3,#21 all looked good running the ball. #4 ran the ball well, and he controlled the team pretty well tonight. We still need to get better throwing the ball. We missed too many open receivers. But hopefully that will come.
As for the D-fense, well not quite as good. We had a hard time stopping a basic o-fense, that ran right at us. We had too many missed tackles, and too many people standing around. Our backers have to learn how to get rid of blockers, and quit dancing around with them. Too many times we had the runner stood up, and nobody would come in and finish them off. Except for #21, he was the only one popping pads out there tonight. He worked his butt off tonight. He not only was the best D-fender, but he also had some good runs on O-fense. He is one of the hardest working kids I have seen.
Penalties, Penalties, Penalties, Really, Why!!!
Anyway, I am proud of my Falcons. It is always hard to win up there, and they did it, by a bunch. I don't think that we are ready for the SOC yet, but I think we will get there. I really think this team is going to be a great team. If we can just get some mean guys on D-fense, and quit the mistakes, (penalties), we will be a great team. Can't wait for next week!!!
Proud to be a Falcon!!!

I wonder how helmets the same color as those pants would look? Keep the same stripe with that color.
