i thought that the teams were pretty even. The difference was the hurryup offence. Looked like CG was a little winded at times. It was near 90 at game time. I was really impressed with Qb Bare good arm didn't get pressured much made good decisions, quick and strong. I think CG will have a very good year if the play every week like last night. As for WB they have never had a good pass defence, this goes clear back to the Ed Miller era. But you do what you are capable of.

Both teams have quite a bit of talent. Looking at Coal Grove's roster, I couldn't believe how many sophomores and juniors there are and how many get significant playing time. Coal Grove's secondary, despite the lapses, is the best it's been since I've been following CG. Lots of speed all around.
The Grove seemed to have trouble all night with substituting in and out and several times it looked like no one really knew whether they were coming or going.
Coal Grove can compete with any team in the SOCII this year, they just need a big win to get them over the hump.
