I heard the reason Mark took the job at RH was due to not getting the gym teaching job at Ironton. Also I heard he took a teaching job at RH and they will pay him more than 6,000 dollars to work at RH. Sad day when a blue ribbon school cannot pay their teachers more money. Ironton must be one of the lowest paying school teaching jobs in the district.

he now has a chance to do what he loves to do coach/teach. and his wife is from rock hill. I have no doubt in my mind, that eventually hammer will be the next head coach.

Nope, he's from Rock Hill. He's been teaching/coaching at Coal Grove since 1998 or 99. From what people from the Hill say about him, he was probably one of the best football players to ever come from Rock Hill.

I will say this, though I hate what happened to Dave and Jay Lucas, Brian has my full support. He's a great Christian man, who has the kids respect. Hes a great influence on the kids, and a very smart man. The junior high games watching him coach, you tell he's a student of the game by the way he studies the field. But... Then again, this is not junior high. High school is a different ball game. Only time will tell if this will work out.

Completely agree with this. I don't think anyone is against Brian, it was the way everything had been handled by the school board that is the issue.

I agree that Mark could be the next head coach he should not have a problem getting a staff. The only thing is waiting for a coaches son to graduate before getting a new coach hurts the entire program.
