Odd that they would send us to play at the stadium of the team we just beat. I hate that drive.

You have got to be kidding me. That is 90 miles for both schools which is more than if Valley drove straight to Grandview to play. Once again there isn't enough seating even if you get there an hour early. What would possess them to send both of these teams so far out of the way? Totally stupid decision

My guess is Chillicothe didn't want to host, Hamilton township has another game, and then the state had to find somewhere to play it. It's unfortunate for both teams to travel like that.

Grandview Heights is only one hour from Nelsonville and its a straight shot on four lane highway. Valley will have the longer drive.

Unfortunate....but complaining all week does nothing. Valley is familiar with the place and I think will be the home team so thatll help with seating. Valley fans BETTER show up.

I don't think you will have to worry about them showing up. They are faithful to their kids in Purple.

If about 1/2 the ppl that showed up to the home game would fill the home sides... its about the size of Burg's visitor section

NY always hosts playoff games since the stadium renovations. Good chance NY will host someone in Week 12 as well. Any team in D 4-7 playing in Week 11 or 12 should assume NY might be the location of their playoff game in any given year.

This is my point. The stadium is great but the seating is TERRIBLE. How do they continually host with such poor seating? Its borderline ridiculous when a D6 playoff completely fills up your stands a full hour before game time... there is absolutely no way any division higher could even fit in the place

NY has hosted Division 4 Regional Finals in Week 12 before. It was Ironton vs Coshocton.

I mean does OHSAA not realize what they are doing? It just makes no sense to make teams drive so far out of the way... then have to stand up the whole time with temps in the 20's

Sites are determined based on who volunteers to host. Not every community has the volunteers available to pull it off. That's why very few schools offer to host. NY has the volunteers and the OHSAA loves having games at NY since NY does such a good job with its volunteers.

I was told by the AD that the reason that Nelsonville gets so many games is because schools put in bids for the games and their the cheapest even though the seating is to small and it always out of the way

Grandview Heights is two hours away. Maps show it's roughly 1.5 hours away, however this doesn't take into consideration having to leave from inside the 270 outerbelt during rush hour afternoon traffic.
