He was 2-8 his first year and probably should have been 0-10... His first game against Athens was a disaster, thought it was the worst prepared team I had ever seen at GAHS... Eddy had a lot of non football issues that lead to his downfall.. Just accept the fact he's gone and move on... Someone said that Eddy advanced in the playoffs further than any other coach at GAHS, that's not true.. The players and coaches are working for improvement this coming week, that's all that can be expected.. Come out and support them or stay at home....
Please tell me which Gallia Academy team has won 2 playoff games? It may have happened 1 time when Donnie was QB.?
The 99 squad had two playoff wins over Jackson and New Richmond before getting hammered in the regional final by Dayton Chaminade Julien.

Thanks Prince, I knew the answer and Donnie was not the QB.... In 99 Cody Lane was the best QB but did not play that position... You would have thought most Blue Devil supporters would have known that.... LOL....

Donnie's team ran into a buzz saw against Beaver Local if I remember correctly.

'99 team beat Jackson twice. Think JHS was like 8-0 and then lost their last three to Logan and then Gallipolis in back to back weeks.

I was away working most of the 90's and never followed much at that time I know a couple teams won some playoff games, I can tell you a lot more about when Snowden, Niday, Greg Harrington, Gary Harrison, and Todd Sloane were playing Quarterback for the Devils! So yea if you want a trivia war on old Blue Devil history, Game on, Bring it!
I know Cody was a good athlete and I have heard from the horses mouth he should have played QB possibly? But you must remember when you send a kid to Gallia Academy that the politics is sickening and Jack Payton had a bit more pull than Gary did! So it's water under the bridge, no need in crying about it 15 yrs later. Hey he could be Al Bundy if he had played QB, lol!

Chesapeake was horrible tonight. GA will need Wes back next week to beat Fairland. Good job Blue.

There was something like 8 holding penalties against The Blue Devils. One negated a very long run by Miller. This must be corrected! Running game much better last night, Miller and Wilson looked good.
