By far the best team in this region.
I wouldn't say by far, there are some true heavyweights in the region that will be tough for anyone to beat.

Athens still has lots of room for improvement. Scary to think this offense still has lots of improvements and we have just seen a lil how good there gonna be

Athens committed two turnovers deep in Warren territory one was a miscommunication on a handoff resulting in a fumble and one was a interception that a defender simply made a really nice play on the ball. The good thing if you are a Bulldog fan is that as "poorly" as Athens played, Warren was never really in the game and the Bulldogs won it rather easily. The expectations of this Athens team by some are almost unfair to the kids, people were dissatisfied with a 36 point road win against a decent Warren team and many are talking about the lack of statistical production from certain players. Athens is 3-0 and are winning by an average score of 53-9 yet some in the area still aren't satisfied. While I believe that they are capable of playing much better football than they did last night, I realize that for the most part they are still a young football team (even though it may not seem that way) where only 3 seniors see significant playing time and they are still going to make mistakes. It wasn't that long ago that Athens was the butt of many jokes and laughed at by people from afar as well as local and league competition and I caution Bulldog fans to enjoy these kids and this ride while it lasts, teams of this caliber don't come along often in these parts and we should enjoy every minute of it we can!
they are young but more like 5 seniors play

If they are not the top team in the area they are definatley top three. May be young but are experienced.

There are only 7 seniors on the whole team and while all of them have played some, of the possible 22 starters only 3 are Seniors. Stalder, Goldsberry, and Vu were the only Senior starters last week and the only 3 who played full time on either side of the ball, while Sebring and Love rotated in on the Defensive line, Orr was the kicker and Neel didn't play until late. I didn't say that the seniors never played only that 3 play what I consider a significant amount of time while the others are situational players for the most part.

Love starts - Sebring Love and Rogers rotate . with over 75 defensive plays. 2 of the 3 are allways in. your definition of significant is? Even though it's all about the underclass men. 75+plays out of 140 total plays defense and offense can hardly be insignificant.

Warren lost their students because they took away high school busing. The district brought it back this year and we have already seen an increase in enrollment!
