The defenses came to play tonight and this was a tight game most of the way. I was really impressed by the tight coverage in the Cadet secondary.

Bedgood was on a snap count bc he had an leg injury. He made a couple plays. Overall Belpre just got out coached and out played. Fort Frye stuck to the game plan to pound the ball and play great defense. They saved Derek Layton for the 4th qt and when he came in the Eagles had no awnser for him. He's a wrecking ball on both sides of the ball. This game was close for most of the game tho. When you have Anthony Winters and Derek Layton rushing the passer good things will happen. The DBs had a great night with Belpre only scoring on a broken play. Trent Bradford thought Miller was over the line so he attacked the QB leaving 88 wide open. He made up for it with a huge pick 6 for a score. Kacey Lewis also had a nice 2nd half. 3 different Cadets players had a rushing td ( Baker , Layton , Lewis ) throw in Lockery and that's a nice stable of ball carriers. Belpre will win a lot of games 79 was a monster. At the end of the day the better "team" won. I still think Belpre wins 7 or 8 games. Good luck the rest of the way.

Casey Lewis was shut down in the first half with just 1 yard but had 121 in the 2nd half. Also a big night for SR Anthony Winters who had 4 sacks! Cadets only allowed 5 first downs to the Tavion Miller lead offense...

They have another Tullius number 20 he did a decent job and Colvin can be a bruiser. I thought 79 was a stud on both sides of the ball but other than that the rest of the line was bad.

Cadets line just wore out the Eagles Cadets out gained Belpre 180-55 in 2nd half. Miller only completed (2-7) passes in the 2nd half.Tav was (5-14) for 61 yards 45 on 1 play with a td and int.
