Just keep Dino out. He's gotta deal with his stuff & we flex a bit without him. Tigers Dez'Em out 5yds & flattened bodies @ a time.
One more thing....
When they cannot stop DEZ, Baker, Carrico, or Isaac, plus the boys that haven't gotten a chance yet, DOn't suddenly start throwing the BOMB! Look @ the stats & sacks!!!

HOWZ THAT BAIT? Whadda ya think?! I'm dropping enough hints as best as I can without spilling the beans completely and "outing my source" based on the VM I left ya? I would have been more vocal but I got hit with a horrendous bug from a tour group from Rio'D Janiero. All of them were sick. Now all Disney cast is sick. Thank goodness for sick paid time I've piled up!!! Out last Thursday til tomorrow(Thursday)!
in the immortal words of bugs bunny----------I LIKE IT, I LIKE IT.

in order for us to pass.we have to 1st run effectively. and like you said, have an intermediate passing game threat. shorter well set up pass plays, and let the guys block. and let's see what they can do after the catch.and play solid defense. and control the emotions, no 15 yarders.

If Ironton runs Dez Young 20 - 25 times this week, Ironton will cruise.

If they get cute, Portsmouth will win.

IRONTON'S OPPONENTS TO DATE ARE 16-4 INCLUDING PORTSMOUTH
PORTSMOUTH'S OPPONENTS TO DATE INCLUDING IRONTON ARE 9-11

PORTSMOUTH IS SCORING 12 POINTS A GAME---WHILE IRONTON IS SCORING 9 POINTS A GAME
PORTSMOUTH'S OPPONENTS HAVE SCORED 99 POINTS ON THE TROJANS
IRONTON'S OPPONENTS HAVE SCORED 108 POINTS ON THE FIGHTING TIGERS

ALL OF THE COMBINED RECORDS OF THE OPPONENTS THAT IRONTON WILL FACE THIS SEASON ARE 24-16. ----WHILE PORTSMOUTH'S OPPONENTS ARE 20-20

so you could not really get any closer than these 2 teams are stat wise right now.these 2 programs are not used to this lack of success, and will either get better , or left behind. but it is after all IRONTON/PORTSMOUTH WEEK, and ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.

Big game for both teams this week. If Ironton can get on a roll they could win the league hands down. I am not sure at this time if there is a team in the league that would do any good in the playoffs.

Ironton not only is winless but also lost to South Point in the scrimmage. Maybe the Tigers just aren't made for a winning season this year.

That is nice but it doesn't matter what your opponents record is if you haven't won any games. Here is something to think about. Portsmouth is undefeated this year in games that they have scored 1 point or more.

Calpreps has it close
[2015] Ironton (OH) 20, [2015] Portsmouth (OH) 19

If Portsmouth wins this game, I believe they will win the OVC and finish 7-3 maybe 8-2 if they can beat Waverly and head to the playoffs

This guy read my mind. That's crazy to think about considering Portsmouth is so weak.

playoffs:HA!
Playing: just do it & believe. Believe in your teammates. Yourself, fans, & community. I've been hard on the coaches, but you @least believe in Vass. He's proved himself worthy since LUTZ's exit. Believe in him as a leader. There's enough talent to generate some good runs & ovc victories! BELIEVE in that young men, & all else will start falling Into place
"Come what may"!!

Im looking at Ironton's remaining schedule. If Ironton wins out, theyre going to have to pray for 2nd level points. Cause I dont see much 2nd level points coming from Fairland, South Point or even Coal Grove. Irontons points games are Portsmouth, Rock Hill and Chesapeake.

Regardless, it will be close come week 10. But just dont know about the meat of the remaining schedule.
