It was always the SEOAL.

However - most of the time the media skipped the “A.”

This is back when each individual letter had to be set in typeface for printing. Lots of things were shortened for convenience.

In my opinion it was when they expanded and brought in Zanesville, Portsmouth, Ironton and Chillicothe

Before the expansion they had 8 teams but could have really been 6 and kept a good league
