Not saying Chillicothe when it’s all said and done won’t be good but both wins are against (0-3) teams that are a smaller division than them
Hillsboro only scored 6 points against Western Brown, who has given up 81.5 points per game in their last two games. So, I wouldn’t suggest that Chillicothe just beat a good team last night

I think Waverly wins this one by a score.
I understand that but they blanked them and they did win two in a row afterwards. So while it may not be a great opponent win, it’s still solid. So far it’s the best win percentage in D5 as per joe eitel
You got more points coming this week they play another 0-3 team

no competition don't gotta compete, I'm already winning this isn't defeat 😵

Beating Waverly should keep them up there. Ironton probably will fall.

Burg struggled defending the pass against Minford. Waverly will exploit that. Burg didnt tackle well vs Minford. Waverly will exploit that too.

Waverly by 14.

As to Western Brown:

8/28 WB 62 Hillsboro 6
9/04 WB 61 New Richmond 77
9/11 WB 54 Covington 86

How do two high school teams score 140 points in a 48 minute game? Anybody with insight?

I wouldn’t base anything on Wheelersburg beating Chillicothe 31-0. Chillicothe isn’t very good.
No doubt Wheelersburg is very good and favored against the Tigers but I wouldn’t try to imply that win over Chillicothe was a big win.

I saw Burg play at Chillicothe and I saw Waverly play vs. West(both in person)
First Waverly needs to find #12 and cover him. He is a baller.
I wasn't super impressed with Burg's secondary. Chillicothe missed some throws, Shanks won't miss as many as CHS did. The Burg backs run hard we have swarm to the ball like we did vs West and wrap them up. Burg got some heat on the QB but IDK how good Chillicothe's line was.
Both teams can light up the scoreboard.
This will be the best offense Burg sees until deep in the playoffs.
I have not watched the Granville game, but I know Shanks thought he played poorly.
I look for a big special teams play or a turnover at a crucial time to decide this one.

I agree with turnovers deciding the outcome of this game. Each team can make you pay as a result. From what I have seen from the Burg, this team plays well together and pick each other up. I always look forward to the Waverly and Burg game each year. No matter what, it is always Waverlys year. Let's have them play it out Friday night and enjoy a great Southern Ohio football game.
On another note, I understand the regional assignments come out Friday. Let's hope both teams get a good draw. In DV, somebody will get left out in the cold for 1 seeds. A lot of good teams at the top.

Will Burg be doing their live stream of this game?

Could be wrong but I thought it was only home games
Not sure waverly would allow them to stream for free when waverly charges $10

Yeah I believe you are correct, only streaming I've seen being done is by home teams only.

This game might have had a crowd like the burg - ironton games always do had it not been for this stupid virus
oh I imagine this will still be a big game for fan attendance but just imagine had this not happened you’d have to get there at 5

Western brown gave up 86 points this past week to Clinton massie. It wasn't covington they played.

9/04 WB 61 New Richmond 77

I think that's B.S that Waverly charges to watch their live streams and no other team in the SOC charges. Go Burg hoping for a good hard fought game and especially no injuries. Still sending prayers to the Oak Hill player who had to be carted off the field last Friday

Oh well, the quality of their live stream vs that of the other live streams I've seen is night and day. Game I seen seemed like there was also some commentary on it, it was either that or I was over hearing radio guys or something. If I was going to go to this game I would have more in it than sitting at the house and paying $10. I find it more of a BS situation that they don't allow SOME students into these games, because I already know these kids are having viewing parties so are we really controlling the social aspect of things by saying you can't come into the stadium in the open air with a mask on vs a large group getting together in someone's basement?? Would've liked to see more teams putting up temporary stands for students only one in 1 end zone and one in the other and allow some kids in.

Waverly has zero excuses. Probably better at 18 of the 22 starting positions. Playing at home. Waverly by 10

You’re underestimating this burg team. They are a whole lot better than last years team.

It’s not about if Burg is better than last year , it’s how stinking good Waverly is this year
