I understand the everyone gets a trophy feel to this unusual season in the year of contagion, yet the Mohawks played and earned the right to advance. For that they should be congratulated and cheered for going forward.
I like to see northwest do good but they did beat a 1-5 Portsmouth team that lost everybody last 2 years. Playing down hurts the Mohawks in playoffs but winning has the program gaining players and wins!!
Every high school football team loses players every year the good teams just reload
1-5 and you come back with that? Can’t wait until next year when ya play 10 games then make the playoffs. Also it’s top 12, State milking money on 9-12 teams.

What’s a matter buddy? They not let you play.

You have a lot of hatred towards a high school program. Let it go dude!!

I don’t think people are saying bad about the Mohawks but just the first so called week of playoffs many teams played not good teams! But the second week is like the regular first week playoff game. This will tell Northwest where their program is at. I’m glad they made the first playoff in school history but playing 6 games and not having all team in region in or opt out because of the madness. I have also said that not opening up offense will kill them in playoffs. They can run it during regular season with the teams they play but when week 11 comes around not so much! I hope they prove us all wrong and will be watching it on computer if I find the site. I’m just saying my opinion. Good Luck Mohawks!!

Looking like Bishop Ready will be making their second trip to Ed Miller stadium in the last 4 years

The take aways for me from this game if I may:
1. The kids we had available played their tails off. Fought to the end for sure. That’s a great indicator.
2. Ready was really well coached. Not just your typical good athletic team. Without getting too technical, their kids were very sound. Scheme, technique, everything.
3. The biggest benefit: our kids got a taste of where they need to be. That’s a huge thing. Before you get to where you want to go, you have to see what level you need to get to.
4. I wish Wheelersburg and Coach Woodward the best.
Athletically, I think they’ll match up well.
