Weren’t they looking at an empty plot of land next to or near the school?
What empty plot of land near the school? That doesn't exist haha
I believe near Washington St Comm College….maybe adjacent to or just northwestish? That was rumor I heard from coach in program.

Oh, well yeah, that was part of the whole effort to build new schools. There would have been a new football field built on that property when the school campus was built.

This is my notebook from the 7on7 that Marietta hosted if you have not read that.

A few quick thoughts on Marietta: Experienced QB with good arm, several good athletes, very strong and experienced line - which is where I think they will make their hay. Probably will be the best line they have had in some time.

To me, season will come down to their last 4 games. Williamstown will be legit again, no doubt. And all 3 league games should be dog fights, I expect everyone in the TSL to be very competitive this year.

Fort Frye Scrimmaged Morgan on Friday. Fort Frye won 22 to 14 in one half plus one drive of varsity action.

Fort controlled the line of scrimmage and was able to move the ball. They had 5 drives, came away with points on 4 of them, with the one drive they didn’t score ending in a fumble in Morgan territory.

Morgan scored once on a returned kickoff and then once on drive that was fueled by 2 long passes. Other than that Morgan struggled to move the ball on offense. Marietta should be able to control the line of scrimmage.

Marietta owned this series before it ended a couple of years back, but the Raiders probably would have gotten the best of the Tigers the past couple seasons had they played. Their program is in a better place now.

Not entirely sure what to expect this year, but I'm optimistic. I agree with what was stated above, I like Marietta to control the line of scrimmage. That will be our strength this season.

Not that it matters but for giggles, the Drew Pasteur line is Morgan by 21 LOL ! I fully realize that the first few weeks with his lines are way off but wow.
