I'm being a hater but I heard is Burg is big but slow they will be a grind it out team.
If Ironton gets 2 scores ahead of them it will be trouble for them.
burg will have to control the line of scrimmage and the clock or it may become a game of learning.
I just want to see a good game and healthy game for both teams.
But I think Ironton may be the better team this Friday by far.

Going back to 2000, IHS has scored over 40 three times with the high being 42 points. Burg has scored 48 pts twice and 49 points once.

So 48 pts would be quite the accomplishment.

I don’t agree with your score prediction and burg is not slow. But they are inexperienced in those line backer positions and it showed a little in that scrimmage. Obviously burg didn’t scheme for it to help them out but they weren’t reading the play quick enough and the blockers were able to lock them up. But I don’t think speed had anything to do with it. More of inexperienced defender. Burg coaches will have to scheme for that. My assumption is they will try to keep terry in front of them and hopefully the kids can bottle him up enough to contain him. Of course that opens up the short passes but you got to give up something.

Offensively burg I think will be fine running their stuff. They do have a pretty good line and their skill kids are good.

Ill say 24-10 Ironton. One possession game most of the way and then Terry puts it away with a big play in the 4th quarter. It will be hard hitting with penalties and turnovers by both teams.

It’s very possible that Ironton puts up 40+ they are a Juggernaut offense. I like Ironton to win big despite the past couple matchups.

If Ironton has fixed the dumb penalties and turnovers issue this could easily get running clock ugly. But during the Pendleton Era it has never been a priority. So my guess is Ironton by a couple of scores.
