I've been out of state the last 2 weeks, didn't see the game or replay BUT I thought I read that Warren had 2 big pass plays that were "slants" - as soon as I read that, I thought hmmmm that seemed to be THE play that Jackson burned the Logan secondary on couple of big plays in the Ironment win over the Chiefs ... again - great post enigmaxx!!!
Not slants - but it's a 10-yard dig. It's the same play Warren used last year at their place to get their offense going.

Every defensive structure/scheme has a weakness. The way Warren used the route combos on that play it stresses Logan's coverage shell/structure. It is very similar to what Jackson did. In the Jackson game Logan bit on the underneath crosser and it left the deep pass open. Warren hit the underneath ball and Logan failed to rally to the ball carrier.

It's designed to get a kid open over the middle. Logan could probably adjust the coverage - but then you probably create opportunities for an even better athlete/receiver (Pepper) to have a bigger role in the offense.

Someone has to make a tackle in space before letting a guy run for 80-yards so you can fight another down.

It was a sloppy football game. I'm sure both coaches are lamenting a lack of execution down-to-down. But man it feels a lot better if you were wearing blue.

Same old story for Logan. They have to string together 8-12 play drives and make no mistakes to score.

Other team's have big play ability that minimize that margin for error. It's been a problem for Logan for nearly 8 years.

... thanks Locos ... I know the "big play" thru the air route has hurt the Purple & White in both losses ... offensively QB1 has been the RB1 for the Chiefs - he is dangerous out on the edge rolling out ... I look for the offense to take advantage of his running on the edge to get the ball to receivers at a couple of levels downfield ... the OCC awaits - probably a different animal than the SEO opponents in the non-conference 3 weeks ... looking forward to getting your pregame information this week LoganLocos! thanks for adding me to your weekly media guide for the Logan games ...
