Frowine at NG beat the sider counter game, which the siders have lived on all season. meet again, look for a bigger dline to challenge the West oline like nothing you have seen all season. And J shank can do the same. Watch #22 deliver the next time. 1st yr coach Woodward, he has learned. Dry field, you have no chance. I just hope he doesnt wait so long to fake so good like near the end of the 1st half and get the Siders panties in a bind. He just didnt have enuff time to continue. The siders had NO IDEA where the ball was and burg just couldnt continue with that short of time. You live, you learn!

Triplett has done a very good job this year. I am a burg grad and very proud of it. When you bash the parents of Burg players, you show exactly how much class you lack. Burg posters have congratulated the west players and team. I am going to guess you are a child because the respected west posters wouldn't get on here and post this crap. I guess winning with class is something you have not heard or experienced before. West had the best team and deserved the soc title this year. The west players that were interviewed were very respectful of the burg team and that should be commended as they have not had alot of success against them in their high school careers. Do you really think that if they meet in the playoffs, that a west win will quiet the burg fans? If you do think that, then you obviously don't watch much local high school sports. Burg fans will always follow and support their team no matter what the record. Triplett could have chosen his words better in his interview. He basically said that wheelersburg should not have scored and west should have had multiple more td's. Good luck to west in the palyoffs and hopefully they can meet up again on a neutral field.

And your BURG/MINFORD post does you no justice. I was talikn about plays in the Minford/Burg game. Burg deliverd the right gameplan too late. I agree West was the better team tonight but next time will be different. One thing I will agree on for tonight is that the Pendleton kid is a real deal. Thats it. Burg could have, shoukld have won.

Glad to see the senior siders offense and defense on the coin toss to begin the game. To send the whole starting O and D but for a few to the 50yrd line is tremendous. Burg will be ready round 2 this playoff and remember for next yr and a few beyond!!

I have never, ever forgot it and wont give a sider a drink of water on a dry day. sorry, thats what THEY wanted and what I will always remember. And I will never, ever back down. i have given this west team cudos in my posts if you look back and give #8 the real deal. He is a beast. I will give the westside team respect, but not the posters. They will always be that parent that looked at me and told me I was a pus, a wimp, while i was walking up that hill. congrats to WEST for going 10-0 , then were clearly the better team last night. They earned it. West running game was much stronger than Burg's.

Burg made a couple bad plays, West made a few good ones. Huge play was the 3rd and 7 or 8 that the guy juggled the short pass, juggled it again, then reeled it in for a 1st down and breathing room for west. Another was the 2nd half kickoff, Burg just fell on it at the 23 with no attempt at a runback. Burg must have a passing game to beat them --If they both win the 1st playoff game can they meet in round 2 or 3 ? MD

Cheese with your wine? All week and tonight, Burg fans were telling us about winning and losing with class. Maybe you need to take some lessons.

How many times did you see West run out of the pistole (the read option)? Maybe twice, because of the conditions and the chance of fumbling the slick ball. Coach knew your D couldn't stop them with the power game and he knew your wouldn't score much on us and it was shown true.

On the big nose guard. Didn't I tell you before the game that they're D line is too small? You said that quickness would kill us. Don't do a thing 3 yards down the field.

You can't run the ball up the middle, so the qb keepers get you nothing. You said you would pass on us but our little corners were right there with your receivers. No room. Except for the 1 run where Webber got sucked in on the dive plays, you had 60 yards of offense. You got Beat.

Like I said, if you think West is going away forget it. He is building a program. Great weightlifting and conditioning, which by the way was the difference tonight. The weight that these kids are pushing is unreal. Returning several studs also. Add to that that both the JV and the Freshmen went undefeated also, winning almost all their games in blowouts. Bodes well for the future.

Great game by both teams. What football is all about. Weather was a factor on both sides of the football but really hurt Burg.

I thought Burg D did an outstanding job adjusting and stopping the West running game in the 2nd half. I would guess West had most of their yardage in the 1st half. Gave the offense several chances with good field position to put the ball in the end zone. Offense was less than effective most of the night. Burg must be able to throw the football to be effective. 5-10 yard routes to move the chains is all they need.

Congrats to West on an excellent season. 10-0 is not an easy task. You guys have worked hard and have lived up to the expectations. You won the football game and gained respect by winning it with class. A huge statement in moving the program in the right diretion.

Good luck in the playoffs until you face Burg again.

Yes, now I know. I haven't seen backs run that well for several years in high school. Time after time Burg hit them in the backfield and they got away. West Side - Be Proud, and it's okay to gloat a little: YOU WON!
