This is a tough thread to follow. Does anyone know the West scrimmage schedule?

Wow, two very tough scrimmages to start the pre-season. Coal Grove will be tough as always and Johnson Central has been “Juggernauts" in (KY) the past few seasons. Good test of character, I wish the Senators luck!

Kentucky does start a week before Ohio (22 Aug) but Johnson Centrals first game is the 29th against Fairland at home.

Johnson Central is usually pretty tough. I believe I read on another forum that they graduated a very strong senior class last year and their star running back transferred to another school, so this may be a good time to get them in a scrimmage.

That would be good news for the Senators.

The scrimmage with Coal Grove is the OVC scrimmage with all the teams isn't it?

I guess it would but with all the talent and the numbers returning to West this year that should not be a problem.

West has some talent. They have descent team speed, but no burners. Average team size but no monsters.
They are not going to "out talent" very many teams. What they do have is a bunch of hard nosed kids that if they avoid injury and come together as a unit can compete.

Quit making excuses for your team in case. You don't see Fairland making excuses and they have a new coach bout every year. Best of luck West. I like West they always have grit.

Well I could not tell the truth and say how talented we are. How big and fast we are. But that would be well...not the truth.

What about West experience? That should make up for your claim of lack of talent. They had a huge junior class last year I think. Best of luck to the West Side!

Juniors are there. They are a good hard nosed bunch.

And I said we have some talent. But we will rarely be the bigger or faster team.

I have high expectations for West this year for a lot of reasons.
