I hate it tonight but come playoff time, Ironton will benefit a lot from this game. I was happy with the defense that Ironton showed against the passing game tonight, very much so. I think Ironton's offense suffered a great deal when Tres Wilks went out in the second half. Logan's quarterback is very nice. Man, Logan dresses so many boys, maybe more than Ironton has in the school? It's a personal opinion but..I think Ashland is the best team Ironton has played this year.

Logan is the best we have played period.
Ashland stayed in the game due to the turnovers and injuries/sickness.

I totally disagree...Ironton was more banged up tonight than in the Logan game. Most people I have talked to have agreed but...it's a matter of an opinion.

i AGREE ITOWNHOSSCAT. iRONTON COULD HAVE BEAT ASHLAND IF NOT FOR OVERLOOKING TO LOGAN, AND THE TURNOVERS!!! A TRUE TEST OF A GREAT TEAMS IS DEFENSE AND BEING ABLE TO PULL THAT OFF THE LONGEST DURING FOUR QUARTERS. LOGAN DID THAT. IRONTON DIDNT... I AGREE WITH THE GENTLEMAN FROM IRONTON SPEAKING OUT ABOUT THE PLAY CALLING ALWAYS TO THE SHORT SIDE OF THE FIELD, AND UP THE MIDDLE ON A STACKED LINE ON FOURTH AND AN ARMPIT HAIR.. TIME TO LET SOME OF THOSE YOUNG COACHES OVERRIDE SOME OF THE STELLAR COACHES WE HAVE HAD FOR DECADES.. I KNOW THEY HAVE IT IN THEM, LET THEM USE IT.. DEFINITELY, LOGAN BEST, ASHLAND SECOND BEST TEAM FACED. AND WE ARE NOT OVER.... WITH INJURIES ABOUNDING. IM HOLDING MY BREATH.. CURIOUS AS HOW THE REST OF THE REGION DID.. CANNOT FIND SCORES..

Have to agree with some of play-calling  especially when down with 2 minutes to go and your running the ball  and in the huddle  maybe back in the 70's ;-) think some coach trying to save face and ''NOT'' win the game  Great game for ''MR. RUSSELL'' all over the field........and MR. ROBINSON with the sweeps and the blocked punt :-D and the MUSKETEERS---------MAYS=MCDANIELS=RUTTER....AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST-------''THE ASSASIN'' on both offense and defense....all over the field.......now at RESERVATION with blue devils.............but again.......ole BOB......running the clock out......mystery to me  :-D :!:

Kantuck,

i thought it was so funny. After the game with the score board reading Logan 21 Ironton 7. Not one Chieftain had their picture taken with the score board. Of course in Logan we say "it only Ironton". Got to love high school football.

Some scores in the top of your region that I found...
Amanda Clearcreek - 36
Circleville - 0

Alexander - 52
Fed Hocking - 27

Coshocton - 59
Meadowbrook - 8

Heath - 28
Newark Catholic - 27

West Muskingum - 30
Crooksville - 15

Can't find a final..but looks like Canal Winchester beat Fairfield Union and Bishop Hartley beat Dunbar.

tjhtygeverve-Don't be dumb..u know as well as I that nobody is calling up any ideas of harm..it was an example of double standards..and i'm not a noob..thank you very much..just don't post much on here but read the posts everyday...I can see now WHY I don't post on here. All BS politics and passive aggressiveness in here. U say you don't like a team..or hate them..but when you beat them you have to be nice? Yeah, maybe if you're bi-polar.

ironton lost this game for a variety of reasons. I will say they were better prepared than the last two years. But you have to play to win. To sit on a 7-0 ;ead against a team like Logan shows you have no faith in your team or way too much faith in your defense. Ironton has had problems in big ga,es since 1999. ironically one of their "9" seasons. Well this season ends in "9" and so has all the "9" hype.

I disagree with both of you............Ashland whiped us just like Logan did..........We were beaten by two superior teams.........We need to accept that.........And quit making excuses.........

Saw the game, read the posts, had my morning coffee and now I'm ready.

1) Ironton played inspired ball- tough, hard-nosed on both sides of the line. Best of their teams I have seen in the four years they have been back on Logan's schedule.

2) Logan misfired early; penalties didn't help. This resulted in our playing Ironton's type of game.

3) Logan's defense really stepped it up. They were outweighed on the line yet played tough football save for one drive. This was good for them to play this type of game under less-than-ideal conditions; we'll see this in the playoffs somewhere.

4) Great tradition for Ironton but seriously, they need to diversify that offense. You're not going to win anymore championships playing that kind of line-it-up, smashmouth football. I just knew Logan was going to break a long one sooner or later and that Ironton just wasn't going to able to pass.

5) Pat can be streaky; he needs to develop more consistency in his game. Pass protection will eventually break down. Don't take the loss, run or throw it away.

6) A win is a win. Say all you want about Logan not being as advertised Ironton fans. That's OK, we weren't impressive last night. However, we're 5-0 and will be second in the region in computer points come Monday. It's like March Madness- survive and advance.

7) Officiating?

Great! I'm trying to give Ironton their dues and that's the best you can come up with? Get a new punch line already! And, oh yea, a new offense. Se ya later 8)
