Why will Vincent Warren NOT be in the TVC?

Wow, this is my most popular thread ever!

Again, just for the record, Warren isn't going anywhere and isn't trying to go anywhere. I mentioned this thread to an administrator friend yesterday and he said that the issue of leaving the SEOAL is a non-issue at this point. The kids are lifting hard for football and are working towards that elusive four win season this fall.

Everyone is pretty dang happy right now.

Thanks for all the input. Sorry for the fist fights this thread caused.

I hope Warren Local does get a second look for the TVC-Ohio. It's a better all around fit for them, cost, travel, location, old friends, and new ones.

Wow, I've never heard of anyone even admitting that they knew this motley bunch, let alone suggesting that they even LIKED these folks.

You guys need to watch who you are hanging around with or you'll get a bad reputation!

Is there any chance that the TVC-Ohio School AD's and Administrators meet in an informal setting with Warrens AD and Administrator

Like meeting for dinner near Athens and discuss this request of of Warren Local to transfer back to the TVC-Ohio, if they buy the dinner

I am not really in a postion to say.
They may or may not. I do think that if Warren made an inquiry about joinning they would be interested though. Everything fits real nice with them in the TVC.

I agree! The travel would be far less. The longest trips would be to Wellston and McArthur Vinton County.

Maybe some of the AD's that want to see them back in the TVC should open the first door...just to see how the Warriors feel

I would love to see them get in. The prospect of getting a third division and getting away from athens is just too good for us to pass up.

Warren burnt their bridges with the TVC in 1986 when they bolted for the SEOAL. Petty I know but that's the way it is.

The TVC (Athens Invitational League), doesn't want us because the will be relegated to no league titles in anything but football. VC won't vote for us, because they'd loose any chance in the only sport they are halfway decent at. And, Alex would be back to where they are accustomed, last in everything!

Alex is the team to beat in Baseball, they have a good girls basketball team most years and Coach Penrod is turning the football program around.......

Other than Basketball, exactly what is Warren good in??

Both basketball, Baseball, softball, Volleyball, XC, year in and year out!

Warren Local enhances this league athletically in both male and female sports. Lack of football success is simple. Cant get them to buy in and settle for less. How long has Alexander been down in football? I thought they had some pretty nice success a couple of years ago.

Only been a couple years.....

They went 1-9 last year before Arno stepped down to "spend more time with family" Only to miraculously decide to take another job somewhere else lol......

Coach Penrod took over and they finished 5-5 and they look to be pretty good for a while.

Can't remember lol

He did lead them to the playoffs and a string of successful seasons. Ales has been a decent team the last 5 or 6 years. Still no TVC-OHIO titles but still solid.
