i think a way to generate some money would be sell a 6 home game tix package. if ironton gets a home playoff game. you still have your season ticket. if they host. if not the money will go to the athletic dept. i really need to join the tiger clan, i've been saying it for years. but the meetings are always on weds. and i need to get back into church. but i'm not doing either right now, and thats wrong. anyway the meetings could be on tues. or thurs. . that may be the reason for the poor turnout. being a church night.

Last year Our Lady of Mount Carmel finished 4-2 in their league. So no, it's not their first football team.

D2 and lower schools have actually beaten the D1 champs in the regular season before, it's not really that uncommon and with the exception of Coldwater beating the d5 and d6 schools in the MAC , the lower schools might have the historical edge in such games.

In reading the Tribune tonight it seems like they got a pretty decent size line. They spread the ball out and a lot of their players are studs on the ice. This has the potential to be a trap game for Ironton. Ironton should pull this out though by 3 TDs. I think they will have a tough time adjusting to the US rules and size of the field.

Back to the game. This is a great opportunity for both teams. This should be a saturday game though. Talk about money raiser. You could have a huge tailgate party before the game for all the fans from both schools to congregate and talk football. Plus you would get fans from other schools to come in and watch. Wonder how many fans they will be bringing?

Last time a team from Canada came to town they mingled with players, coaches and fans at Central Christian Church. They had traveled by bus and had quite a trip behind them. They were the classiest bunch of young men with nothing but praise for our Tigers, fans and facilities. I hope this group has a safe trip and just as good, if not better an experience than the last one (except for the Ironton win;)). Good luck and an injury free game to both, but...

Does anybody know when they will be here? I remember when we played that DC team in 93 I think. They practiced at the Junior High on thursday night before the game. There was tons of people down there watching them practice.

Ahhh, been away for a while and I see things haven't changed much. 2Old is still following the Tigers and hanging his hat on those past championships.

As for the game. Look for this team to have some athletes. I believe the Tigers will win, but this team won't be as weak as some of those Logan teams from the 70's and 80's.

MT Carmel has 1800 students that attend school there.

The team we beat year before last 27-7 ST Thomas More, Not only did they go on to win the Canadian championship that season, they have not lost a game since then and repeated as champions last year.
