Best Juniors In The Area
Re: Best Juniors In The Area
Hmmmmm, Wheelersburg poster has craigmiles, adkins and Walker. All dlinemen for the Burg. They also run in the backfield, ala OSU and USC by commission. Senior running backs White and Shankweiler lead the way this yr. You will here from this Dlinemen next yr at Burg as RBs!

Not only is Jon Monig a good athelete...but a straight A student...sure helps when you go on to college being able to learn quickly....Junior class is fenomenal...Ironton has talent backed up for years to come...
Learned the other day that a pro scout from the Buffalo Bills came to an Ironton bills game last year to watch and Ironton kid....who was in the third grade...He happened to be a close friend of Coy Bacon...and He was in town and coy took him to the game....His nephew...who is definately not pro thoughts at this time...sure might be...he is in the fourth grade now and about a foot taller than anyone else in his class...big boy...with the build of coy...he runs with the running backs on his team..very quick for being so big...
Love to see kids enjoying the game at such a young age...it's exciting to have heros living in your own back yard...my son met Coy last year and then saw him on some old footage on ESPN and was absolutely amazed by him...as he was with getting to meet and get autographs of Tyler "Tank" Whaley...great to have class acts...so accessable to young kids.

Tigers90: You are right about Jon. Through the years talking to college coaches, an old cliche always comes in that they are looking for the 'whole package'. A player who is a good student, good athlete and coachable. It doesn't hurt to have some 'community service' thrown in there too. Great class coming up with a lot of the above for the Tigers.
