Cornwell can also run to the outside he doesnt juss run up the middle and juss cause he runs up the middle doesnt mean u can tackle him. this year will be a repeat beating of last year Dragons 36-14 and they get a share of the title.

Go Dragons!!!!

let me tell u some thing cornwell is just a pud the grove's d-line will stop him ever time he run's the ball. :122249

they couldnt stop him at previews and they wont be able to stop him this friday and plus once u start worrying about him u have bloomfield and hatfield to watch out for coal is the best qb in the ovc and he will not to hesitate to throw the ball and score or take off and score on his own. Noone on cg can match bloomfields speed he is one of the fastest backs in the ovc. if our line blocks like they have been blocking it will be a long night for coal grove.

the grove's d-line is made up with speed and strenth so cornwell has no chanc

That's probably because Pierson got the ball more than you did because Fairland's offense utilized more players. Nonetheless, I'll take your word for it.

Ok PLAYERS! Lets get off SEOPS and onto the practice field. Hey #39: What would Coach Lucas say if he read this crap and saw you were giving the Dragons bulletin board material? Don't write checks that you and your team may or may not be able to cash. It's selfish and pointless. I'll be expecting a big game from you now. You're a good player - don't take away from your exploits on the field by doing stuff like this off of it. You have to walk the walk before you can talk the talk. Remember how bad it felt last year when you guys got humiliated at the Pat by those guys? Return the favor Friday, but don't be classless about it!

Just wanted to wish the Fairland seniors good luck and really hope to see you guys come out with a win. After all the nonsense and drama you guys have had to endure, you deserve a share in the conference championship at the very least. I hope that you share that mindset. This is it for you guys, your last time walking onto the FHS field, suited up and ready to play. Make it count but make it count for yourselves, not for any of these "posters" or for anyone else. You have a lot of people pulling for you no matter what the outcome of the game is. The community is proud of you guys. We're definitely going to miss watching all of you step on the field. Best of luck for your futures!!

amen to that duke. I was just looking at some pics of you guys when you played for me on smokinglens site and I can't believe you are seniors. Being part of your lives was a priviledge for me and I can tell you I hope you get everything you deserve Fri night. You have always worked hard and this is the last time I can see you in that Dragon uniform so make it count and I'll be there to cheer you on.

i watched haynes win the hundred in track and beat bloomfield by almost 5 yards. so i would say we have the speed.delawder had a 1000 yds last year as a fullback.

Lets compare non league schedules here!Fairland played Portsmouth West#2 in region 19 9-0,Sheldon Clark #3 in AAA in Kentucky 8-1,Meigs #7 in region 15 7-2.Tolsia #11 in AA West Virginia 7-2.Coal Groves non league schedule was decent I will give them that with Minford and also Meigs and Paint Valley, But also a 3-5 Newport Ky team in there as well as a middle of the pack SOC team in Valley 5-4!So the non league schedule has not been nearly as tough as the Dragons. And please dont say anyone on this list even comes close to West because they dont!

im tired of all the talk ab schedule strength...i mean seriously sp was gunna kill cg just b/c they played wheelersburg and a good schedule but that didnt seem to push sp over cg...so saying that fairlands schedule will help them in this game is rediculous

It's just a matter of who wants it the most , not who runs their mouth the most. Plain and simple!

Any way hope no one gets hurt,

Okay, lets look at Fairlands non conf schedule, Fairland and Div 4 school lost to a Div 5 school in week one, I will give credit that the Div 5 school is really good, Meigs is a common opponent that we both had a shot at beating, then all you have left is Kentucky and West Virginia schools a good school in those states is middle of the road in Ohio, so to say you schedule was tougher than ours has no basis in it what so ever, but to continue lets look at the conference so far, we both destroyed the bottom of the barrel, you lone lost was at home to a team that we beat, which runs the ball extremely well just like we do, so from the way it looks you run defense is shakey and that could cause you problems all night.

Hey High on top- Track speed and football speed are two different types of speeds. I also watched that race and I believe Bloomfield beat Oakie easily the 1st 40 and went on to compete in later races. Ward and Duty both have just as much football speed as Oakie. Go Dragons!!!

Ya youre right TopoftheGrove!Guess my gray matter is not quite like a steel trap anymore!I do know that game went 2OT's and Fairland had 2 field goals to win it and missed them both! The 2 backs that battled it our were Paul Short for Fairland and Brian Davis for Coal Grove! And the guy that missed both of the Fairland field goals was Andy Maynard "Who died in a balcony collapse in Mexico." So I remember a little about those days! ;-) Maybe it would get my brain going if I had a transfusion of "Bucking Red Salsa!"
