Saw people complain about it online but they forget that school district passed a 250 million dollar bond. 62 million for athletics.

Re: Turf Stadiums
Said there was another school that had a nice one in comparison, but this one takes the prize when it's done. Said "most" people in Texas takes their High school football very seriously and love it enough where they don't care about raising taxes. Pretty much passed before they even voted on it.
Awesome imo.

Re: Turf Stadiums
Well, the state of Texas education is a shamb, and they pay more money for strictly football coaches then they do teachers. The entire state ranks at the bottom in about every educational standard, but hey they are building $60 Million dollar stadiums. Check out the one in Allen, right down the road, as soon as it opened it was condemned, closed and tore down due to shoddy concrete and steel.

In southern Ohio it's hard to beat alumni stadium . Not a bad seat in the House, great atmosphere . New turf is absolutely awesome
Re: Turf Stadiums
I also believe Canton's old Fawcett Stadium where McKinley plays is getting a $80 plus million dollar renovation. Of course a good part of the money is coming from the NFL Hall of Fame and a private donor.TRENCHFOOT wrote:Said there was another school that had a nice one in comparison, but this one takes the prize when it's done. Also, out of curiosity, do any of the SEO school districts with turf have dedicated funding or programs designed to cover the cost of replacement of the turf they have had installed? I have heard that 10 years pretty much is the useful life of a turf field, and time passes all too quickly.

I know it as to be, but I don't like stadiums with the track around the field. it takes a lot away from the game.

Oak Hill is a beautiful field, no soccer team equals no soccer lines. Better yet the turf is 10 years old and will be replaced soon.
