Re: TVC Football: All eyes now on Wahama!
I'm not sure I really like that idea ... Teams that get this far in the playoffs shouldn't have to play on their opponents home field ... I mean, who's really to say a team like Williamstown should be ahead of Wahama? They are both undefeated, both have had great seasons - yet there is a possibility (if both win) that Wahama will have to play the Yellow Jackets on their home field ... That just seems really, really odd to me.

I think teams are ranked by computer points. Not sure I'm sure fos knows. I guess I like it as long as I'm following the home team.
Someone mentioned they'd like to see it more central. If I were a BETTING man I'd guess it'd have a lot to do with the casino on wheeling island. Pun intended. :122245
Re: TVC Football: All eyes now on Wahama!
Heard wheeling central was down to moorefield. Williamstown was winning last I heard.

Looks like wahama vs. williamstown next week. 39-14 900 left in 4th. I'm outta here. Brrr. Congrats wahama.

Good luck to the kids at Wahama but don't flatter yourself by thinking all eyes are on Wahama and "your" thread is being hijacked by Buckeyes with Mountaineer envy. Last time I checked this is southeasternohiopreps! I wouldn't lower my standards rooting for a WV team to carry the TVC banner! Wahama in the TVC does a lot more for Wahama than it does for the Ohio schools. Like it or not, state football championships in the Buckeye are a lot harder to come by. N-Y has done it before I believe, can't argue about their program. If I was a betting man, I would bet Wahama would be lucky to make it to the second round of the playoffs here on the Buckeye state.

I beg the differ on that Belhio7 ... Wahama would have faired pretty well in Division VI, Region 23 ... They beat Trimble 47-22, and then South Gallia 28-6 - both of which made the playoffs ... I went over and watched some of the Symmes Valley-Beallsville game in week 12 and I am confident Wahama could have played with either one.

If Ohio schools played in the NFL they wouldn't fair well...... See what I did there? What's your point? We're a West Virginia team playing in the West Virginia playoffs. We follow the rules presented to us. If you're so jealous maybe you should fight to have your school district join the state of West Virginia.
So right now, if you're talking 2011 TVC football... you're talking about Wahama. Because we're the only one left.

I certainly hope your hijacking comment isn't directed at me. I'm very proud to root on any area team. As far as lowering standards, interesting comment considering no one in SE Ohio is playing now. This is one NY fan that would love to See wahama go all the way. Then the tvc would be the weakest conference in SE Ohio that boasts the most state titles in all sports.

"Belhio7" welcome to seopreps since I see you are a new poster. You can call it lowering standards if you like but the fact remains that Wahama is the ONLY school that has an affiliation with any SEO conference still playing in the high school playoffs after tonight. Actually, what I find amusing is that almost all the school districts that border each other on either side of the Ohio river in SEO, WV and Kentucky all have family members, co-workers, friends etc. that live in each of the bordering states and there is no different lifestlyle, economy etc. from one to the other and they are not that different. You act like there is a tremendous disparity in sports talent from each of these states but when you compare SEO with the river borders it's much the same whether you want to believe it or not. I'm a Wahama grad, live in Columbus but I've spent money when I could this football season watching Ironton, Meigs, N-Y, Athens, P. West and Valley games because I try to support SEO teams during the year and am still hoping one day to again see a champion from one of these conferences. No, Wahama is not an Ohio team but the bottom line is that they are a member of the TVC and should at least be respected as such. By you moniker "Belhio7" I would guess you're from around Belpre and live up on Rt. 7 (am I correct ?). If that's the case I also followed Belpre years ago when they were doing well in basketball (regionals / state) and in the football playoffs so I even followed your school back in the day. Do I always think these schools will win the games I attend, NO but I wish they could. (p.s. - I hope you're not feeling bad because Wahama put a spanking on Belpre the last couple times they played)93Bulldog wrote:I beg the differ on that Belhio7 ... Not directed at you. Directed at NYbuckeye96. Thanks for the support. Last night was a good win for our team. Hope we can do it again next week. Anyone heard anything about a possible gametime?buckfan84 wrote:I certainly hope your hijacking comment isn't directed at me. I'm very proud to root on any area team.
