I just put something up on the TVC-Ohio points thread to this effect but I'll say it again!

ATHENS has a shot at the playoffs!!!!!!!!! It's a long shot and they will have to go 10-0 and get some help, but they still have a shot in one of the toughest regions in the state!!!!!!!!

Alexander is ranked 6th in there region!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me say that again!!!!!!!! Alexander is ranked 6th in there region!!!!!!!!!

Ny will make it in with an 8-2 record but ya'll know we are going 10-0 ;-)

Isn't this exciting?? The next 5 weeks will be WOW!!!!!!
Who would ever thought that NY, Alex and Athens would be fighting it out for a league title bragging rights and playoff implications!!!!!!!!!!
If this don't get your blood pumping you are dead!!!!!!
Go Athens county!! Go TVC!!!!!!!

i just have one question , what is a team the size of athens doing in the tvc, besides feasting on much smaller schools. they are the logan of the tvc. i told you this would happen, they finally have a coaching staff there, the only team, gonna give them a run is d5 nelsonville york.

We are happy having Athens in the TVC. Athens has played Meigs, NY, and Alexander for a good while non-league anyways!.
If Athens would have stayed in the SEAOL they would still be trying to learn how to win and would be 4 or more years from a winning record. They are gone so get over it!!!

With 1 game left to be played this week this is what I think might happen! ( This is off the top of my head, but I think it will be close!)

1. Athens
2. Nelsonville-York
3. Alexander
4. Southern
5. Eastern
6. Waterford
7. Trimble
8. Meigs-if wellston doesn't win tonight
9.Wellston- if they win tonight they will be 8th and meigs will be 9th
10. Vinton County if they win tonight, If not then Miller will stay number 10

Tigerbait-
If Athens is a problem, then Vinton County must be looked at too...
Athens will be DIII next year, and for the foreseeable future just like Vinton County...
Belpre leaves the Ohio next year, leaving the Ohio with 2 DIII Schools, 1 DV and the rest DIV ...
Funny how you never hear any NY people complaining about Athens and NY is the Smallest school in the OHIO...

It time the TVC Ohio will be a great Division...I'd like to see one more team (Warren or Jackson or Gallia) in, but people must remember this is just not about Football...

and O&B, your beating me to the punch postin' the Poll...I'm waiting til the results of tonites game are in, but they we will be very close if not exactly what you posted...

What a Great Night of Football...

Eastern was lucky the score wasnt 42 -7 in favor of Trimble. No way they should be ahead of them. Trimble was the better team all night. The only thing Eastern had going for it was experience at QB. Man for Man every where else Trimble was better. Eastern has alot of returning kids, but unfortunately for the TVC so does Trimble. C'mon Lancers this is a great week to make some noise and get back to playing football. This poll is starting to look as politically biased as the BCS.

Trimble did not score many Power Poll Points early in the season...rough schedule hurt them a little...
Eastern however with 3 Wins have that being the biggest decider of the two teams...

The Entire Poll is based on a Point System, and I believe that the difference between Eastern/Trimble is a few Points...

There is no influence as to what the Team Name is when plugging in the points, just when all the points have been tallied...

Trimble Fans I understand the reasoning behind your gripe, but its quite simple...you keep winning, you will keep rising...

Last Week was Great and I expect this Week to be even Better!!!

Good Luck to All TVC Teams...
