Not the Valley kids' fault, they capitalized on the chances the REFS gave them. Valley will never beat Minford, the only chance they have is if the game is at Valley and even then, Minford will beat them. This is the first time in years of football have I seen anything so blatant and unfair. Congratulations to Valley (and the REFS). To the West players great job.

you all gots to stop beating yourselves, this is the 3rd time this year :12224

I was very disappointed in the officiating all night myself, but I didn't think it was blatant and unfair. Granted I'm a Valley alum, but I try to always call a spade a spade, even if that means pointing the finger at myself or those I support. To that end, I honestly didn't feel that it was blatantly bad in Valley's favor tonight. I really just thought it was pretty poor overall. I really am interested in specific accounts. If I missed something I'd be more than gracious enough to say so. I respect officials for what they do, but I also dispise when calls determine the outcome of a game and take away from the efforts of young people.

Blown coverage is what cost west MORE than the officiating.

Playa added an Icon to his original post.. I'm just guessin, but he may have seen the end of the game and thought there was a fumble that wasn't .. We knelt down real quick and stood up quick, and it made it look like he didn't down the ball. Then West ends up with it after the play is over. I think he's talking about that play.. but we knealt down.. I don't know for sure that's what he was sayin or not.

Pmow..it was ridiculous. So many missed calls and one sided calls, I'll pm you ALL of them after I watch the film..we can start with fanatic23's post and go from there. 4 penalties for Valley and 14 for West..is that true? Please, you are wearing me out...IT WAS BLATANT AND UNFAIR. I call a spade a spade too and can honestly say, I have never used the refs as a reason for any team losing but this was out there. Sad day in football, not because West lost but because of the help Valley had in winning. Wow.

Dude you played at Valley.....its hard to beat a decent team let alone the refs...they werent gonna let Valley get beat tonight. Last year when Minford beat them, they did all they could to keep Valley in the game.

Oh good grief! For the 6,000,000th time this year: THIS IS NOT LAST YEAR'S WEST TEAM!
Beating them isn't that big of a deal. They're one of the most one-dimensional teams I've ever watched, period. Plus, they do get a lot of penalties. Why can't you people just come to terms with that? They got beaten by a darn good team tonight - a team I thought would beat them worse than this.

I haven't watched the game film yet, but here are some corrections on the stats as far as the penalties go:

Valley had the following penalties (not a complete list, just some that I found in my notes from the game in looking over only half the game):

1. and 2. Two penalties for kick-off going out of bounds
3. Intentional Grounding
4. Personal foul on a Valley player following incident involving Valley player and Pendleton (Valley player at fault)
5. Late hit on Pendleton's long run that set up Murphy's TD run
6. Illegal procedure on punt
7. Illegal hit in the back on punt

I'm sure there are more, as six of those seven were in the second half alone.

Do you find times to come into West Threads and look for times to repeat yourself. This is the 234928423 time that have came into a West thread and quoted us for saying we are as good as we was last year. I've yet to read anywhere from one West poster thats states they believe this years West team is good as last years team. West fans no they would be stupid to say such a thing.

The point I was trying to make was in support of my original post of the stats. That is, when Roger Gray was reading the stats, it was pretty clear that he was rambling a lot and didn't seem to be getting a whole lot of stuff accurate. I only read through my notes from just less than half the game and found seven penalties as opposed to the 4 that I posted as per WNXT's stats. If you noticed, I'm the one that made first mention of Valley's number of penalties.

I'm just trying to help. Why does everything have to be a conspiracy?

West is way overrated! As I said in earlier posts Valley should've won this game but by a bigger margin. :122248

Well if you believe West is overated then what is Valley? West outplayed Valley in this game for over 3 qs.

Now hold on, aren't you a Minford fan? I watched the Minford/CG game and I don't think it was by any means an easy win for the Falcons. Or was there cheating/poor officiating in that game too? As far as one dimensional CG really isn't...and that's coming from a Tiger fan. They use to be, but not this year. West is much more one dimensional and did I mention way overrated.

 That's why CG has passed for more yards this year than any Coal Grove team in recent memory? Go look up the rushing stats for Woods.
Give it up, double "M".
