Can someone give me directions to the stadium? I can't recall if I've ever been to Gallia's stadium(most likely, not) and I'm not sure where I'm going or what I'm looking for.

The directions are fairly simple. Try mapquest or PM me if you have any questions.

Coming into Gallipolis from Jackson on US35, go to the Holzer Medical Center/Rt 160 exit.

At the bottom of the ramp, turn right past the hospital. It deadends at the Ohio Valley Bank/Fruth Pharmacy.

To continue on Rt 160 into Gallipolis, turn left at the deadend, and then a couple hundred yards later, turn right. This is still Rt 160.

As you come into town, this becomes Pine St. You will go past Smith GMC and the Pine St Cemetery on your left and the first intersection is 4th Avenue. Turn right. (This is a one way street ). Go down about 2-3 blocks. You will see the field house on the right and the stadium is below that on the right. You should see the stadium lights (such as they are).

There is limited on street parking. As you continue past the field house, there is some parking at Washington Elementary on the right (the stadium entrance is in the alley by Washington school. You will see people going that way. Follow the crowd. There is also parking at Ohio Valley Bank (after 6 pm) and one block further, there is a small parking lot at the Middle School (former HS).

If you use on street parking, be sure you dont block driveways.

The field level parking lot is now for busses and handicap only. If you have a placard, let me know and I will PM you with directions there. It is immediately by one of the gates on the visitors side.

I hope I didnt confuse you.

Safe travels.

Another way you can get there is to leave after biggdowgg and ozzieohio and follow the dead deer to the stadium!!!
I think I get it, lol.. Thanks! =) And I was in Marching Band, Guard actually.. About 11 years ago..

It's very possible that it was me! lol.. I was only in guard, I never played an instrument though. And I used to post on JJHuddle. But my high school days are a blur, lol.. If this is the case, then I guess I have been to this stadium and I just don't remember! Hahaha.. I guess that's a sign I'm getting older!

Portsmouth must really miss Myers, that injury turned the season upside down for the men of Troy, all you can do when a team looses their best player is to ask everyone else to step up,play hard and hope for the best. I have never seen so many injuries in my entire life in football, pros, colledge and high school, concussions acl's,mcl's, pcl's you name it what a shame.

I believe Austin Wilson broke the All-Time season scoring record for touchdowns in a season old record 21 sete by 2 players Ty Simmons and Pete Neal. I think Austin is at 24 now.

That was the worst prepared team by the coach's I've seen at Portsmouth in a long time. And this defense may be the worst I've seen in a long time. We don't tackle well nor do we fire off the ball on either line. Teams can run right up the middle and off tackle and the holes are always there for our opponent. I don't want to hear if Myers played we would be this or that. It's not the QB, it's a defense that allows the other team to score at will. After all that Wilmington and Warren beating Chilly tonight will still give this team a chance at post season. I can't believe that a team at 3-5 will be in the top 9 still going into week 9. How many chances can one team have to make the playoffs. I hate to be negative on this team because I love the Trojans and the kids that wear the uniforms. But, holy cow it's hard to see what's happened to such a promising group of young men. The coach's have really done this group in over the last 3 years. Poorly prepared and bad game management have factored into where we are now. Good Luck to the Men of Troy the rest of the year you will need all the luck you can get. GO TROJANS

Okay, over the course of the year I have heard many different Portsmouth fans make comments about poor coaching and not getting them prepared for the games, and I am sick of it. It isn’t just on here, it is at the games as well.
All the coaches can do is try to get the boys to prepare. If they don’t respond there is nothing that can be done. Proof of this is earlier in the season; a note was placed in the scouting report which said to tell coach that they saw it. Very few told him. If they are not going to take the time to read and learn their assignments it is NOT the coaches fault. It’s not as if they aren’t taking of their time away from their families to do the work to break down films and write these reports each week. Which if I remember right come out to about 8 pages of offensive and 5 pages of defensive.
So next time you want to jump on the coaching staff for not having the boys prepare ask yourself what else could they really do to get the boys prepared other then present them with the information, if they don’t put forth the effort to learn their assignments is that the coaches fault.
Not trying to blame the boys, as I know some of them ( not all) sell out on every play and give everything they have, and I’m sure do study their assignments. It comes down to personal discipline, as 15-18 year old young men they should not have to have someone looking over their shoulder.
