Week 2 - Nelsonville-York (1-0) @ Newark Catholic (0-1)
Re: Week 2 - Nelsonville-York (1-0) @ Newark Catholic (0-1)
All NY can do is keep winning..1 game at a time..this week ncath...How long were these mathchups made 3-4 years ago..My point is NY scheduled teams on knowing they were or are solid programs...Keep on knocking..Ny wont back down from anybody...that what makes people mad.....

BUCKEYE ENVY AT ITS BEST!!!!!FANOSPORTS wrote:I take it you're another N-Y homer as most of your posts per your profile on other threads such as "Tremble vs. Yomamma" deameanor other teams in your area. Hey, and they wonder why people root against N-Y in the conference and especially in the playoffs. Trimble and Wahama will be just fine and i'm sure Newark Catholic alumni won't get too upset when N-Y beats them. As far as the Cruiser statement, let me say one thing, if N-Y was in ANY of the OCC, MSL or any other conference divisions of the same size around C-bus they would not have even a sniff of the success they've had in the TVC . They'd be beat up and done by mid season and I'll leave it at that. The Cruisers will probably play 5 teams this year that will be in the playoffs. When could N-Y ever say that, no matter what the size of the schools ?BIGHITSINC wrote:I can't blame you FOS> watching a bunch o freshman and sophomores would be an upgrade from them Cruisers HUH?

Re: Week 2 - Nelsonville-York (1-0) @ Newark Catholic (0-1)
I know about the home grown boys at NC, but lets say that NY could get one or two players from all of the county schools to come and join them in NY every year... then NY would be even better... I wasn't really trying to put down NC they have a lot of great things, but being from NY is just different, we are a little more secluded instead of a small school in a big (ger) town like Newark. There was nothing like growing up in NY, but I don't really know about NC, but you hear rumors... obviously NC is not the powerhouse year in year out like they were, but they will always be competitive! Go Bucks!newarkcatholicfan wrote:U Might ask someone who goes to Newark Catholic how many home grown boys are on the team I am betting the answer will shock you. I have no ties to the schools but there is at least one person on here that does have ties to the school.55Buckeyes98 wrote:I'll give advice from a shirt I used to wear growing up! No Fear!
Also, NC is just a name, don't feel pressure just because it's NC... but I have to believe that Buckeyes have a fantastic tradition as well from all homegrown boys! No disrespect to NC or private schools, but I'll have Buckeye pride for life... from Little Bucks to Friday Nights! Go Bucks!

Go Bucks! Two tradition-rich schools battling it out tonight in Newark. Can't ask for more!
Re: Week 2 - Nelsonville-York (1-0) @ Newark Catholic (0-1)
Newark had a home game last nite reason for saturday game. we have our second saturday game 10/1 against bexley. one good thing about saturday is you can watch other teams play on friday. I went to thornville and saw the Sheridan Generals in their new stadium, what a great new stadium. I wish Newark could find some donors in partnership with nc to put in field turf their. licking valley and johnstown have it and in the area zanesville, new lex,tri valley, maysville and sheridan have it.

Around 1:45 minutes till game time. I figure most of Nelsonville is headed up this way by now so have a safe trip. Traffic's usually not to bad on a saturday night around Newark but it does get a little congested around the mall area in Heath before entering Newark if you come up Rt. 79 from the Hebron area. Route 37 is probably the easiest route but either way is not to difficult to maneuver. The Green Wave is very young (start a lot of sophs.) so if N-Y is going to do it, this is the year. Good luck !!!!!
