Apparently if you are from Southern Ohio it doesn't matter if you are the #1 seed, you are going to have to drive at least twice as far as the team you are playing. #6 seed LU drives 45 minutes (and to a stadium they already played in and know) and #1 seed Valley drives Hour and 45... makes absolutely no sense at all. Why not play the game somewhere close to a major road at least? I would rather drive to Columbus than Nelsonville (No offense, but driving deer infested backroads for 2 hours is dangerous). Why not play at Reynoldburg again? It is about the same length of travel for Valley and even shorter for LV but it is an easy drive to get there...

This makes no sense at all, unless you take for granted that OHSAA wants the team from the North to win the game, then it makes perfect sense.

This is so stupid... The OHSAA makes no sense sometimes. Regardless, I don't believe this will impact the game. The Indians will continue to roll and take home their first regional title!

None with turf south of Hamilton Township that I am aware of.

Best case would be for the OHSAA try to work out a contract with OU to use Peden Stadium.. That would be ideal, :)

Basically OHSAA gave Libery Union home field advantage in a game that CalPreps predicts Valley by 2 points. Home field advantage is worth 3 points on average which flips that prediction in Liberty Union favor. Yes I feel that traveling less than half the time of a higher seed and the fact that you just played a game at the stadium = home field advantage.

Another one that blows my mind is St Clairesville playing Johnstown at Zanesville.

Since we've already established from last week that I'm a "mind-reader", I believe what coop was trying to say was "Valley's FIRST TEAM DEFENSE has only given up 24 total points in the last 4 games."

8)

I was actually thinking the same thing as wink when I first read coop's post. I just kinda went with it since I had focused my thoughts on the first team defense.

I'm still sticking with my stance of 'to hell with worrying about the location! Our kids will show up focused, physical and intense no matter what! That drive won't mean a dam& thing in the second half when our big, physical kids start getting stronger and stronger! They wear teams down like a Boa Constrictor or Python squeezing the life out of its pray!'

The Indians and the Valley Faithful will show up!

SOOOO What do we KNOW about this LU team? What type(s) of defense do they run and are they ground-n-pound or a throwing team, predominantly?

Blue collar bring a lunch pail type team. Mainly a run team that can pass, they like #20 or a jet sweep or # 19 will keep it .

I think Baltimore is basically in agricultural territory so your probably looking at a bunch of cornbread and tater fed country boys..... which ain't no bad thing.
