Kind of like your cockiness got in your way last week? Eddie Miller will set 3 school records and Burg will win by 3 scores.

Valley will not overlook Minford. Why would they? They have an SOC title and #1 seed at stake. You're trying to get a rise out of people... Sounds like fun! I look forward to you being wrong again!

I was wrong about Eddie Miller 3 last week. I can take my medicine for it.
I guess we need time for the medicine to work, because it hasn't cured you from making outlandish statements.

Keller was 210 lbs last year and a very hard runner. He is also Moreheads starting RB in their jumbo package this year, so I'm not real sure where you are coming up with he couldn't get the "Tough Yards" lol
I have no doubt about what Keller brought to the table. My Point was last year Valley came out in a spread look the majority of the time with Keller being the only back. That system is a hit the seem and go get what you can, and it worked well for them. This year Valley is just is good at just lineing up and pounding it right at teams and chewing up yards little by little.

Picking Minford isn't outlandish. You're entitled to your opinion. Calling people poser fans and cram it down the throat is some what outlandish. Also, nearly every comment you made last week was completely over the top. When you call for school records and a blow out, and it couldn't have been further from reality, then your opinion doesn't carry much weight. It reminds me of the high school kids that get on here just to tell people they suck. You aren't looking to talk football, you're looking to start trouble just like last week.

no posers for fans, why wouldn't they be the good guys? Minfords Wing offense will cram it down Valley's throat all night long.

Couldn't disagree more. Valley still runs the spread. Tons of shotgun with zone reads and counters. Tyler Rowe was in the backfield with Keller most of the time with Valley's iso game. Brandon Jordan saw some time there also, but Valley used the I formation to run quite often last year. The only difference is the amount the QB has been running the ball and the decreased number of passes.

A-Bomb wrote:expect a great game...seen both teeams play and i think they are evenly matched despite the difference in the burg scores which was due to lots of different variables so that should not tell who will win this one...theres a reason u play the games if u always went by whats on paper then there'd be no point. i give valley the edge as the more physical team they are very good up front however i think minford has more team speed and should be able to get outside on valleys D.... playing for that golden football never know what can happen

Minford 19

valley 17
I agree 100% about expecting a great game. I am curious though about the overall speed statement and curious as to why you think Minford can consistently get outside on Valley's D? Valley has excellent D-line play, including very good D-ends that contain the edge very well. I agree that we shouldn't simply compare scores vs Burg, but some things are relative. For instance, I thought Burg looked consistently quicker than Minford throughout their match-up. At the same time, that same Butg team didn't consistently hurt Valley with their speed & quickness. In my opinion, Minford isn't going to beat Valley athletically. If the Falcons are going to win, they are going to have to win the battle at the line of scrimmage. I'm very anxious to see these two lines duke it out all night up front. To me, that's the true strength of both teams.

That is my opinion, Valley is more of a run first offense this year. I don't know if it's not having Yates this year or not and it really doesnt matter Valley has earned what they got this year. Jesco asked for outside fan opinions and that was mine like it or not.

He did the same thing on the Oak Hill vs Ironton thread he just likes to stir the pot and ruffle feathers.

Your opinion is appreciated. Debating perceptions and facts is fun. If we all agreed all the time it would be pretty boring lol

Exactly...this will be a great, hard hitting game. It's always close, and I dont expect much different. I hope VSN has it...Jesco..VSN should let me and you do the guest commentary, we could cover the region, and etc...that would be epic. I'd drive in for that haha

The kids do most of the work on VSN. I'm sure if you and Jesco wanted to be part of it, it shouldn't be a problem. They appreciate all the help they can get. My son helped out with commentary during basketball season.

You did call for a blowout, along with school records by Burg. And there's always a chance things happen but you have nothing to base this on. I've seen your kind before... You make big bold predictions, and you don't care if you're wrong. When you're right, people never hear the end of it, even if you're only right 1 out of 10 times.

Minford does have an excellent running attack, and I expect a great game. Valley's defense is also excellent and have proven it against some good teams. And your calling a spade a spade is also a bogus claim. I've been on here for 4-5 years and these so called "posers" have always been around.

I swore I wasn't going to get into this with you after seeing last weeks threads for about 5 mins before it disappeared. I'm looking forward another well informed response.

Bo how do you know Minford will not cram the ball down Valley's throat? Minford as a excellent running attack, they could make it a long night for the Indians. Sorry for calling fans posers but a spade is a spade. I never called for a blowout last week.[/quote]

Roy is this all you are going to do I mean really some of the stuff you say is just stupid. Here is a thought why dont you say something usefull to the conversation instead of bashing and predicting unrealistic things that are not going to happen. You have your right to your opinion but say it with a little bit of respect.....

Bo you are lying my man. The only records I called for was by Eddie 3. I never called for the team to set records or the ame would be a blowout. Dont try to defend the posers in doing so you are looking bogus.
No, you're lying! You called for Eddie's records and a Burg beatdown. What's bogus is the fact you can come on here and make claims, have them erased. Have a username get deactivated and then return to pull the same stuff I saw last week.

It doesn't matter. You were wrong then, you're wrong now, and you'll be wrong next week. Just keep up the quality work!

SOOO looking forward to this friday! Minford and Vallary have had a GREAt history playing each other and have entertained the fans on both sides, especially over the last few years. I expect nothing less this year!!! No Blowouts and a LOT of hard nosed football in the trenches. Gonna give the edge to my boys... GO VALLEY! :-D

I think this will be a great game. Minford needs to contain Valleys QB, if the play doesnt work, this kid can flat out run! Gotta account for that!! Minford needs to execute better on their Oline. They pull and drag alot, but they need to block! If they can, the runners can hit trap holes and get into the secondary. Should be a great game!

I think some of the stuff you say is stupid too. I did not start the bashing and you will see for yourself what Minford will do Friday night. When I get some respect my way I will gladly return the favor.
would like to say i thought minford showed alot of class last week with waverly.and i think valley posters are always respectful.that being said i have to take valley in this one. roy maybe you might get some respect if you change your location.

You know, I'm done with all the silliness. I hope Valley wins the SOC II outright this year, but if they don't, the sun will rise again. These young men have already achieved far greater than most of us expected. Their dedication in the off season and on the field this season have made all of us look foolish in our wild predictions. This is especially true of those who have belittled and ridiculed their accomplishments to date. They know better than anyone what they are capable of doing. It's obvious the players don't give a rat's behind what is posted on this site. They've been discredited and overlooked since the season ended last year. Yet, they will share at least a portion of the title. GOOD LUCK INDIANS!!

So, for those wishing to stir the pot with their half a$$ed attempt at talking football, have at it! Amuse, laugh, giggle and/or enjoy whatever you do with yourself in the solitude of your home. Your words and silly comments won't have a bearing on the outcome of this game!

Hoping for a Falcon Victory to see the RARE 3 way tie for the SOC Crown! Once again there should be a great SOC2 showing in the playoffs!! Here’s hoping for a rematch with Valley in the near future!
