I think this is going to be one of those 14-13 games. Early season, lots of D, and the Offenses working to get on track. With the game on grass I give Trimble the edge.

I just hope that hog wallow has at least a little bit of grass on it by game time. They usually have to paint the dirt green by the end of August.indianabuck wrote:I think this is going to be one of those 14-13 games. Ground Buck
Sorry we do not have the Brooks or any other wealthy business in the Glouster Area to help fund a new field. We are Tomcat proud of our field and the accomplishments we have done on this field. With that said maybe you can give us some of that good ol Nelsonville MONEY to help with getting a better field...

If you are so wee cat proud of your field why do you want money for a better one?tomcatfan1982 wrote:Ground Buck

I was over at the Sty last month, and someone was telling me they did a lot of work on the field, regrading, and planting new grass. It really looked nice, especially compared to how last season ended up with the painted dirt for the playoff game... although the flying skull thing looked pretty cool.
I hate to throw any football talk in here, but it's been brought up a few times in this thread, and never answered - IMO, whoever has the best offensive and defensive line play in this game takes it. Both teams have good players at the skill positions, but who will be better in the trenches? Anyone close to the teams have any insight on both sides?
Hope both teams stay injury free, and the Bucks are due for some good karma.

I'm certainly no expert or insider, but I'll tell you what I know about Trimble's line. The interior linemen return entirely, Center: Senior T.J. Spears, and Guards: Seniors Jacob Stevens and Jonathan Roback, who is a 4-year starter. The Cats are trying to replace two outstanding Tackles lost to graduation in Micah Couch and Tanner Koons. It looks like they will get those tackles from a group of 4, including Senior Dante Brammer, Junior Levi McClellan, and Sophomores Anthony McLaughlin and Kenzie Morris. Senior Brice Guthrie returns at Tight End. Defensively, it will be some combination of that same group. In the opening scrimmage vs. Chesapeake, they performed as you would expect...Lots of bright spots and some shaky moments on both sides of the ball. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know how the Three Headed Monster looked in the scrimmage? How did NY look as a team?
