Chillicothe has the best big school atmosphere for sure. Burg and Valley are really solid small school atmospheres.Ironman92 wrote: Fri Dec 21, 2018 4:17 pmDepends on the game. Burg’s has that small town awesome atmosphere but probably not real jamming when they are up 49-0 in the early 3rd qtr.Omega wrote: Fri Dec 21, 2018 3:51 pm The attraction of Hernstein Field in Chillicothe is the setting. It just has an old school feel to it being on Arch Street. The upgrades to Hernstien give it the modern basic amenities. Jackson's Alumni stadium is a palace but has sterile vibes.

Alumni doesn’t have a bad seat in the house and also no track to help some with closeness but big games are far from sterile. When the opposition travels 200 people and we are up by 30....yeah, it’s quite dead
Full stadiums are almost always booming and exciting, 1/2 full ones rarely are

I was referring to high school fields, there is one in Columbus that puts that one in Athens to shameRaider6309 wrote: Tue Dec 25, 2018 3:19 pmThere is a field in Athens. There’s that Jackson arrogance. It’s not even January yet and you guys have won next years state championship and have the best stadium south of I70. Also, if anyone has a different opinion, they’re just haters.Poo Bear wrote: Tue Dec 25, 2018 6:50 am Alumni stadium is hands down the crown jewel of southern Ohio . This was a reply to a Wellston poster bashing alumni stadium . I am far from arrogant. As far as 1 and done that’s not accurate at all. But who cares what anyone else thinks. Jackson hates Wellston too . There is no love lost with either schoolWellstonLover wrote: Tue Dec 25, 2018 5:47 pmThere’s that Jackson arrogance. Get over yourselves and just be happy that you have a new school and stadium because if not for those two things, you wouldn’t snag half of the recruits it takes you guys to be a 1 and done year in and year out in region 11.

Old Dutch can attest to this
The BEST thing about people from Wellston is that they have JACKSON on their license plates!

Re: Jackson Stadium
Is Athens High School able to use Peden Stadium? If so, why not play one game a year in the stadium and split the gate with the opponent. Maybe Nelsonville or Jackson? That would be a fun thing to get started!Raider6309 wrote: Tue Dec 25, 2018 3:19 pmThere is a field in Athens. Yeah but you make more money playing at your normal field. Athens used the Convo to play Bishop Watterson and Africentric. Athens hasn’t used Peden since we played Parkersburg South there. It would be fun to have three games on Saturday, featuring the 5 county schools. But getting NY and Trimble from their home fields is like pulling teeth.ravensfan09 wrote: Wed Dec 26, 2018 12:21 am Is Athens High School able to use Peden Stadium?
