What do you believe the "right decision" would be? Just simply asking your opinion. Also if Chuck does come back I do feel like the numbers would improve no? When he was HC the numbers were always pretty solid it seemed like.go court house wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 4:16 amFirst and Goal wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 11:51 am I can tell you 100 % if you don't want Coach Williamson back I would make your voices heard. I have heard there have been calls made to Coach Williamson but I have also heard that there were 2 members of the Board who have said they will not vote yes to bring Williamson back. Who knows, we will just have to wait to see what happens and hope the district makes the right decision.

I think a young, energetic coach who is in the business of creating a culture of teaching young men to be men of character, to be apart of something bigger than yourself. Winning games are great, teaching some of these youth how to cope with life is Much more important. Coach Williamson had his chance here. If he wanted to be here then maybe he shouldnt have left. He thought he could go to Marion and win...... he couldnt. 3-7 year 1, 1-9 year 2.Fayette_Panther1963 wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 8:12 amWhat do you believe the "right decision" would be? Completely valid points. I guess that's the question people are going to have to decide, do you bring someone in that is going to win games or do you care more about developing a culture and planning for the long haul but going to take your lumps along the way. I wonder if they did hire Chuck back if they could have someone young underneath him to mentor and eventually take over once Chuck is done in a few years. I believe in his first stint he had family on staff or possibly someone from the community.go court house wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 8:47 amI think a young, energetic coach who is in the business of creating a culture of teaching young men to be men of character, to be apart of something bigger than yourself. Sounds like Chuck is the only one applying or tied to the opening of that program. Is there anyone else that has applied or even a contender?

My opinion. A young energetic, disciplined football knowledge coach that isn't in it for daddy ball or straight from any youth program, should have experience at High School level. The numbers would go back up if Williamson was rehired, but the on field discipline would need addressed.Fayette_Panther1963 wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 8:12 amWhat do you believe the "right decision" would be? Not an attack but why do I always hear bad things about youth coaches. Sure youth isn't the same as high school, but people have to start somewhere. I myself have never coached but my boys have went through the program. They had excellent coaches, some even played college football. There are those dad's who don't need to be around because they are agenda driven but, some of these youth coaches build relationships with kids that last forever. I think you have to look at each person on a case by case basis. I am very interested to see who washington hires I can promise you it will not be Williamson, those in the know, know that now 3 members of the board have stated they would be no votes.First and Goal wrote: Fri Dec 06, 2024 10:44 amMy opinion. Re: Washington court house football
If I am WCH, start out by playing an easier non-conference schedule. Reach out to some SVC schools, SBAAC National, Goshen, and etc. and see if you can get some series going. As for league play, just accept the fact that Jackson is going to running clock you. But you can easily get at least 3 FAC wins every year, sometimes even 4 (depending on MT). This will get you at least 6-7 wins consistently, and while yes, it won't prepare you for week 11, WHO CARES! Just get some wins going, and the confidence will eventually come with

For some reason it is being kept hush hush. I have a pretty good source inside the district and even he is in the dark. I have head rumors that Chuck didn't get an interview, I've heard rumors he did. I've heard Dye put in for the job and rumors he didn't. I've heard Richard Oakes of Greenfield was impressive in his first interview. I also heard the coach from Portsmouth Notre Dame is a leading candidate. Hopefully they decide soon so they can get things going.FightingFisherman61 wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2024 3:26 pm nobody knows names this is crazy, I have only heard of two an both of those didnt even get interviews.

I was told that the WCH AD had stated that they would name a Head Coach at the January board meeting. Looks like the meeting is on Monday so they probably have their guy at this point, just waiting to recommend him to the board. I have a buddy with kids in the district and he said that he heard Coach Williamson was a finalist but could not confirm. Said he also heard of an assistant coach from Greenfield being a finalist and an assistant coach from Springfield. Not sure if that was the final three or not.

I was told they most likely will have their pick by end of week. I was told there are 6 finalists.FACSPORTS wrote: Wed Jan 08, 2025 9:08 pm I was told that the WCH AD had stated that they would name a Head Coach at the January board meeting. WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE
1(H) Mechanicsburg
2@ Circleville
3
4(H) Granville
5(H) Cincinnati Shroder
6@ Greenfield-McClain
7(H) Chillicothe
8(H) Jackson
9@ Hillsboro
10@ Miami Trace
From another forum. Has WCH found a week 3 opponent? This non conference schedule looks better. I could see 5 wins being a possibility next year.
