Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
I could point out facts like Ironton having...
the state's longest unbeaten streak, the 114th most wins in the US, the 11th most playoff wins in the state, the 3rd most playoff appearances in the state, and making it to the semis 14 times. BTW, all these beat the burg.
But, really, what's a better measure than head-to-head competition ?
Considering this, Ironton owns the burgers.
*For the umpteenth time - kids from Portsmouth, Minford, East, Green, Ironton, Ashland, etc. are not burg kids. Ironton still has more homegrown talent.

As for Ironton’s success, as a I’ve stated, Ironton was once a truly big time program. Now they are Ampipe from the movie All the Right Moves.
Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
And yet both schools have two titles while kirtland, cold water, Marion local, and valley view all have way more. Both Ironton and burg are great programs but the two programs are far from the best in Ohio.LockHerUp wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 7:15 pm I could point out facts like Ironton having...

Wheelersburg has managed to win their region only 5 times IN THE LAST 30 D*MN YEARS!!!!!
The comparison between Ironton & burg is RIDICULOUS. The only similarities are region & burg copied Irontons colors. That is it. Burg is little sister.
Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
It is. Ironton hasn’t done anything of note since 1989!TigerBlood00 wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 8:40 pmAnd...LockHerUp wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 7:15 pm I could point out facts like Ironton having...

Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
Burg offense I think will be really good. Defense is quick but inexperienced. Burg did lose a couple of kids to green. A couple of kids came out this year from other sports. New to the game but athletic. Hopefully they can fill some of that void.
Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
A much do you see Rucker and the other sophomores from last year improving? Success of this team will greatly depend on them taking a step up.wobycat wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 8:00 am Burg offense I think will be really good. Defense is quick but inexperienced. Ironton has ALWAYS had more homegrown talent than burg AND Irontons homegrown talent has ALWAYS been more talented than burgs talent. Been that way for 40 years. Still is.LockHerUp wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 7:15 pm I could point out facts like Ironton having...
