Re: Logan Football 2013
That 's what I figured Logan Elm, but it didn't say for sure on the school site, the number of boys on the roster are now down around 45 boys 10-12 according to Burke, hope the numbers don't go much lower than that or depth will be a problem again.

Bolt, thought ole moonshine would have had some info on here by now. Just got back from Groveport putting Scotties drains in on that par 3. He took me over by their high school, heard some pads a cracking and whistles a blowing over there. Sounded like they was going at it hard.

When is the Sheridan scrimmage?
Any news on what the team looks like so far, not sure if anyone has seen any of the practices?
Does anyone know what offense/defense Burke utilizes? Might have skipped over it, but 19 pages was hard to read every post.

Re: Logan Football 2013
After stopping by practice for about 30 min, I have been consumed with farming type actives and we went out of town yesterday! what I did notice was a well organized practice they seem to be physical when I was watching they where running defenses drill and the young men are listening and paying attention to detail. We will know more about this team after the Jamboree game a lot of teaching taking place!
Re: Logan Football 2013
What kind of offence and defense and did they work on special teams. Yes I know it is early preseason but these are areas of concern and improvement must start to show
Re: Logan Football 2013
The coaching position's were announced in the paper a couple weeks ago,its mostly the same faces as years gone by for those who missed it.Former Lancaster coach Tom McCurdy injured his back and not coaching so Pat Walsh is taking his place at DC and DL,Burke will be OC and QB coach,Steve Harris OL,Brian Breining RB,Jim Huntsberger receivers,Josh Sturgell LB,Nick Maniskas DB,didn't mention who be in charge of special teams.
Re: Logan Football 2013
Just got back from the scrimmage! Both teams seemed pretty evenly matched, but I'd have to give the edge to Logan Elm.Logan's offense struggled to get much of anything going with no line push and too many mistakes in the backfield, but offenses are usually behind this time of year. The defense is still giving up too many big plays and the secondary needs to tighten up and do a better job locating the ball in the air.Elm did have a tall athletic QB with a strong arm that gave the Logan defense some trouble throwing and running.Logan did have a few bright spots, but a lot of work needs done to get where they want to be
Re: Logan Football 2013
This scrimmage showed that we have a long way to go,That being said they are more disciplined As a trained observer I notice that a lot to teaching and changes are taking place. I thought it was a typical 1st scrimmage!
Re: Logan Football 2013
Was out of town this morning please expand on the offensive struggles and did you see any aggresses play! did the defense give up both running and passing big plays? Sat Morning they where working on pass defense while I was watching!C-Bolt wrote:Just got back from the scrimmage! Have Faith my friends. Loose links will tighten. Scrimmages are more like practice and trying lots of different things. Hard to see the real product. We will get a better idea in the Sheridan Jamboree game and a much better idea at Gale town.
